Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Angel Rose

Hi everyone! I bought this lipstick on a whim two months ago because I was in search for that light pink shade that will suit my medium yellow skin tone. I was thinking of getting my all time fave pink lipstick by NYX in the shade FIG but opted this instead because this is readily available at the mall.

When swatched, it gives that beautiful dainty pink shade with a slight hints of peach. The color is so girly and sweet. BF loves it. hehe He said that this shade makes me look more feminine.

I super love the color. It does not wash me out compared to other light pink lipsticks. Light pinks tend to make look anemic or sickly. This looks perfect with a bronzed cheek or smokey eyes. This goes on smooth when applied. This is really creamy and has that velvety texture. Unlike my NYX round lipstick, this does not stain my teeth nor smear. True to its name, this makes your lips moisturized andgives that slight glossy finish. I find it a bit moisturizing. Just a bit. (Well, most lipstick dry my lips even if I used a lipbalm.)

The downside of this lipstick is the scent. Gaaahh! This has a subtle plastic scent to it. The disturbing scent will eventually disappear after a few minutes from application. Also, this is not that long lasting. I reapply three to five times within the day whenever I use this.

Over all, I like this lipstick. This has been in my makeup kit from the time I bought it. The shade brightens up my face instantly. I want to try their color sensational lipsticks (the one in the new packaging) but I will definitely wait for the 20-30% off sale by Maybelline. hehe
