Vintage Hollywood Glamour (Subtle Smokey Eyes) wth Step by Step Tutorial

Last Saturday, I went to my Sorority's Pearl Anniversary Party. I was not planning to go because I do not have any gown or even a dress available in my closet. Thankfully, my close sorority sister borrowed a red gown for me. I knew the look I that to go for wanted when I saw the gown. I have been dying to wear dark red lips to a party. So here is the look I wore last Saturday. I just recreated this look today to show you how I did it.

First, I pat a shimmery white eye shadow on my lid.

Then, I apply my powder foundation over the shimmery white shadow to create a champagne color. I do not have this exact shade so I did this technique. Then, I apply the Pinkie Swear Gel Liner as a base on the outer part of my eye extending beyond the crease line for that subtle cut the crease look.

Then I sweep some dark gray eye shadow over the black gel liner base. Notice that I extended the application halfway towards the inner corner of my eye without going beyond the crease area.

Then, I apply a shimmery reddish brown eyeshadow from the 4u2 Palette on the my lower lashline and blended it with the black shadow.
I made sure I clean the areas around my eye with the small flat top brush from CHarm brushes by applying my foundation on my brow bone, inner and outer eye corners, and under eyes.  I put on some falsies for more drama and lined my lower lash line with black liner. I also tried to achieve  bigger eyes by applying a natural shade of pencil concealer on my lower waterline.

The key is blending everything together.

So far, I am liking (not loving) the Pinkie Swear Gel Liner which only costs 99 pesos!!!!!!

Products Used:
ELF Eyeshadow Primer
Cliniqua Multiplying Mascara
Falsies from landmark
Pinkie Swear Gel Liner in Black
Clinique Dark Gray Eyeshadow from a sample palette ( Thanks Sis Maan Sotelo for this!!!)
Nichido Mineral Pencil COncealer in Natural
Would you like me to review this gel liner? Comment below if you want me to!!!

For the tools, I used my new found love the Charm Pretty in Pink 14 Pc. Vegan Brush Set.
I tell you although this might be a bit pricey compared to other local brush sets online, I swear this is soft even if compared with other local brush sets (the quality of this set is very different) and it is the first time that I am using all the brushes in a set!! Great Job, Sophie for this brush set!! Totally worth it!! It is a must have for beauty enthusiasts especially those looking for a starter brush set.
Sorry for the lack of solo face shot. I was too lazy to recreate the whole look.
Anyways, here is a decent photo of me during the event with my sorority sisters. Achieve ba ang vintage look? haha

Godbless everyone!

  2. Beautiful!! Whats new? Palagi naman maganda and informative posts mo especially the pics! :) now you make me want to buy the pinkie swear liner. Gel liners dry up easily kasi so I'm a bit hesitant to buy from others who are a bit pricey kasi matutuyo lang naman. Will wait for your review of it! :)
