There are moments that I just totally lose it and splurge on makeup to satiate my materialistic side. Yung tipong gusto ko lang magwaldas dahil feel ko lang. Yes, even the kuripot in me has that inner dark side na gustong magfeeling mayaman once in a while. Youtube is partly to blame because they advocate consumerism ( a lot). Kasi naman, I love watching my favorite youtube gurus to the point that I buy whatever they rave about (parang bloggers lang at kayong mga readers ko.. waaahh B.I. din pala ako in a way kasi panira ako ng budget.)
Before proceeding with post, let it be put on record that I am not a fan of highlighters (well, uhmmm until now). I hate shimmers because they tend to highlight my rashes and dry patches on my cheeks. However, I recently discovered how good highlighters look on photos and since I am a soon to be bride, I want to achieve that bridal glow on my big day. Anyways, one of my favorite youtube gurus is Nikkietutorials is a huge highlighter fan. I was on the brink of buying Becca Shimmering Perfector in Opal because of her. Good thing she mentioned that The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer has more highlighting power than Becca's. The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer costs less than Becca's (kaya buti na lang talaga!!!!) She even mentioned that even people in space could see the glow of this Highlighter when worn. The next thing I knew I was in Beauty Bar buying this highlighter.
This highlighter is priced at 945 pesos. It is housed in a very cute packaging with a huge round mirror. The compact is quite handy and not too heavy for travel. Here is a look on how big the compact is. It has a weight of 8.5 grams. On its box, it says that this product is a highlighter, shimmer and eyeshadow.
I have tried a lot of low end highlighters and this baby right here is at the top of the game. I wont mention brand names but in short, walang binatbat lahat ng highighters that I have tried before to this this one. The product is AMAZING. As in!Sulit ang 945. hehe I was raving this product to Shen of Shensaddiction and I just can't stop raving about it. This highlighter is VERY PIGMENTED. The color pay off is out of this world. You can refer to the photo below that I just did one swipe and the product that my fingers picked up looked immensely beautiful. Isang swipe palang yan! This luminizer is in powder form but the texture is very creamy and extremely blendable. For application, I can use my fingers or a brush for application. Despite being overly pigmented, the best thing about this highlighter is the fact that it is buildable and blendable. Thus, I can sheer it out with a use of fluffy brush or sweep a layer of powder foundation to lessen the glow of this product.
This applies smoothly on the skin. As you can see on the swatch, it does not look gritty or sparkly at all. This just gives off a beautiful sheen/glow on the skin. The color is a gorgeous champagne that looks very nice on my medium yellow skin tone.

I heard contouring is out and strobing is in! This is definitely a great buy for me! I will definitely repurchase (if and if I ran out anytime soon). Since this is very pigmented product, a little goes a long way. I honestly don't think I can even finish a pan!
I highly recommend this everyone who wants to achieve that Glow!!

| Hello everyone!! :) Last super rainy Saturday, I attended the K-Palett event with Japanese makeup artist, Noriko Imura, as guest. I heard a lot of raves from local bloggers about their 1day tattoo liners. Thus, I was very happy when I got an invite from Ms. Cheryl. I got even more excited when I learned that it will be a blogger workshop with Ms. Noriko Imura. I am always fascinated with Japanese makeup and Korean makeup especially how they line their eyes perfectly. I have been into makeup for years and applying liner on top of the lid is really tricky. Let us admit that not everyone can carry the cat's eye winged eyeliner. For a natural look, I always skip the flick. Ms. Noriko Imura has been in the beauty industry for twenty years and her expertise is making the eyes appear bigger and making beautiful brows through skeletal analysis. |

Out of all the products that were given to us, the Zero Kuma concealer is the one I am really crazy about. I have been using this since I got it and I love it. I thought my L.A. Girl Concealer was great. When I tried this, I forgot all about my LA Girl HD Pro Concealer and my Skinfood Dark Salmon Concealer. Initial thoughts- great coverage, moisturizing, and it does not cake. I may sound too biased now but this is the truth. I will road test it for a few more days before a full review I make a full review.
