Hi everyone! I received this Beauty Uk Trio Palette form the Khei Shop for review. I am not fond of blue eyeshadows. Perhaps, I often relate it with the '80's and I honestly think that this shade is the hardest to pull off. Thus, I envy a lot of women who can wear blue eyeshadow with such class. When I received this eyeshadow, I was not that giddy to try it at all. Obviously, I cannot wear it in the office and most especially during trial. I rarely go to night outs! As in! I would rather stay at home and watch telenovelas.. haha

However, upon close scrutiny of the product, I can honestly say that the shades aren't bad at all. They are really wearable especially for night outs or parties. The medium and darker shade can be used as an eyeliner even for day time wear

. The dome shape reminds me a lot of MAC MSF products.

The applicator that came with it is really weird!
It is the same retractable brush that came with their blush. As usual, this brush is not even useful at all. It is quite big for eyeshadow application and it is really scratchy.

The eyeshadows are very pigmented. They may appear hard on the pan but it blends beautifully when swatched. The colors are frosted and shimmery. All the colors in the pan compliment each other really well. Further, I can wear each shade by itself.

Shade Description:

The darker blue is more of a bluish black shade.
The middle one is a medium steel blue.
The lightest shade is perfect for highlighting the brow bone or you can even use it as is. It is a light shimmery blue almost white in shade.

Look how beautiful the shades are.

Over all, this eyeshadow palette is really nice. However, I prefer other neutral and more wearable hues. I am looking forward in trying Beach, Earth or Sunrise.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Summer Breeze

Hi everyone. Firstly, I would like to apologize to my readers. I apologize if by any way your head aches everytime you read my blog due to my faulty grammar. I do not proof read my posts. I received an anonymous comment about it and I am sincerely grateful for her comment. I just hope she wrote it out of sheer concern. My friend jokingly said "baka EIC yan" haha. If I have read your comment months ago, I would perceive it negatively. But now, I see things in a more positive light. Praise God!!!!!!! I have to admit I am not good in tenses. As in. Super. I will work on it. :) Thank you again.. :)) For the nth time, I want to reiterate that I am not a writer. So forgive my grammar. I just love sharing to my readers my makeup musings and bits of my life. :) (No there is no secondly and thirdly na..hehe)

Moving on, I was sent by Khei Shop two items for review. She was supposed to give me NYX Matte Lipstick in Shocking Pink but I opted for Summer Breeze. I have enough SHOCKING pink lipstick shades for now. :) I thought that this was a medium pink shade as reviewed by another blogger.For me the shade is a light-medium pink with loads of blue undertone. Like a Nicki Minaj-ish pink color.

I have always been drawn to matte lipsticks because they do not stain my teeth!! This is indeed matte but very creamy. It glides really well on the lips. I am comparing this lipstick to the Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks which are really dry and super matte. This has a very subtle sweet scent but not as sweet like the NYX Black Label Lipsticks.

This can be a bit drying on the lips so I see to it that I moisturize my lips really well before applying it. It does not stay long enough on my lips. I had to retouch after two-three hours. Also, when it fades, my lip color does not look even. This lipstick is very pigmented with one swipe but I love to put two layers of it for a fuller color.

I love to try other shades! Like Audrey, Angel, Strawberry Daiquiri and Bloody Mary.

I am a bit disappointed with the Summer Breeze shade or perhaps I am just not used to light pink lippies. I imagine that this will look divine on someone with fair skin. On me, I looked so washed out when I wear this alone or even with a blush. However, I will definitely pair this shade with smokey eyes and bronzed cheeks!!

This is the true shade on my lips. See how pigmented it is? My dark lip lines were very well concealed with its color!

Hi guys. How was your week?

I have been stressed and depressed for the past few weeks. To those who have known me via Facebook perhaps you know the reason.

Should we, women, qualify cheating by gravity? Do we need to analyze things by degree? What I am trying to say is this - Is there a need to give an equivalent amount of reaction to every act of cheating (dating, having sex, flirtatious messages) . Where do we draw the line between cheating and a mere act of flirting? Is there a difference? The bottom line is Women get hurt by these insensitive acts of men. Whether it be a flirtatious chat with a colleague or a simple movie date with another girl, women get hurt. This undermine the basic foundation of a relationship which is TRUST. The worst thing that a man can do is defend his actions by banking on the woman's shortcomings. I am undergoing such a painful experience right now. I and my partner for ten years are trying to solve things. Can I forget and forgive such acts? Yes. However, I hate it when people (him included) justify his acts as if the crime committed was in a frustrated stage. In a relationship, cheating will always be in a consummated stage. There are no degrees to speak of, only lies to unveil. Cheating is cheating. No more no less.

I am the just a lady behind the pictures, the makeup and this blog. Most of you do not know that I am a very strong woman. My boyfriend, friends and family can attest to this. However, the hardest part in my body appeared to be my softest point. My mind and my heart is in a great struggle. With God's grace , I am hoping that everything will be alright.

Now I know what true love is. No, it is not the kilig moments often seen in movies. It goes far beyond butterflies in your stomach and sleepless nights. It is loving someone and accepting someone despite his/her flaws without any qualms. Kudos to women who are undergoing pain but is moving on with their heads up and strength in their hearts.

Happiness is a choice. Thus, I chose to be happy with him.

Ok. Enough of my melodrama. :) I just want to share a piece of my life with. you. I should do this more often don't you think?

Loot Bag from Neutrogena Event last Friday.. I am excited to try the Hydro Boost Gel with SPF 30. The Hydro Boost gel ( The one in a jar) is by far the best moisturizer I have ever tried. :))
