When I received an event invite from The Body Shop, I got super kilig. The Body Shop is one of the brands that I have been really hoping to collaborate with or be a part of their bloggers' list. I attended their TBSxWorld featuring Spa of the World and Oils of Life. In this post, I will be featuring their Oils of Life and a review on the life changing TBS Oils of Life Intensively Revitalising Facial Oil. Having perpetually (super) dry skin and living in a very humid country, finding a good body and/or facial oil is as hard as finding a good foundation. I would often choose gel or cream over oils because despite hydrating my face and curing my rashes, oils could really make my skin look too greasy and mere thought of using oil with our current weather, makes me cringe. Talk about being malagkit and uncomfortable at the time diba? The Body Shop now offers the Oils of Life range which promises to give new life to the skin. This range is infused with black cumin seed oil, rosehip oil, and camelia seed oil known for supreme revitalising and repairing properties on the skin.
The Oils of Life Range has Facial Oil, Cream, Gel Cream and Essence Lotion
A lightweight daily facial oil to intensely revitalise skin, instantly replenish moisture and revive radiance. Signs of ageing appear visibly reduced. Made from 99% oils of natural origin, this lightweight, quickly-absorbed formula effortlessly melts onto skin leaving a non-sticky, velvety-soft finish.
I got a facial oil a year ago when I went to Korea. I love that oil during the colder weather but when summer came, I immediately tossed it in my vanity area for keeping. The Revitalising Facial Oil from the Body Shop has a very relaxing scent. The scent was a bit strong when I first opened the bottle but I eventually fell in love with its subtle spa scent. I even took a second look on the bottle and the box of this product just to ensure that it was for face application. I was a bit hesitant to try this product because skincare products with scent/fragrance usually breaks me out. Surprisingly, this Facial Oil is really good. I was not expecting that I would love this product this much. AS in bet na bet ko siya!!! This is actually quite addicting and I have been using it every night for skin care and relaxation purposes (because of its soothing scent).
This Oil is easily absorbed by my dry skin. It does not feel heavy at all and is not greasy. It really does a great job of making my skin look so good the morning after. It moisturizes my skin, prevents my face from unpleasant dry patches, and it makes it look very fresh and plump. I also noticed that my psoriasis flare ups was lessened since the time I have been using this oil. This did not irritate my skin. On days when I have extremely dry skin, I apply 2 drops before applying my daily moisturizer. I even mix it with my daily moisturizer for that added hydration. I have yet to try mixing this with my foundations especially those that have drier formulas.
This costs 2150 or 2350 per bottle. It may be a bit steep but a little goes a long way. I highly recommend this product to everyone with dry skin or those with mature/aging skin. This gave my skin a youthful and radiant glow within almost a month of religiously using it. My dry skin finally found its superhero in the hydration department. Yay!Have you heard or tried this product?
Godbless

Today is a crappy day. Everything was in a disarray from the time I left the house to the documents and papers that needs to be done. Being in private practice has its perks and downsides. Anyways, as much as I want to vent out my frustrations of being a lawyer here on my blog, I decided to keep this space a happy one. Kaya nga my lucid intervals eh. Let us not talk about work but let me talk about y latest organic find. Last Saturday, I visited the Zenutrients and bought a few stuff. One of the products that I have been eyeing from this brand is this VCO Makeuup Remover. I just finished my huge tub of Nature Republic Aloe Cleansing Cream that I bought way back in November in Korea. I really wanted to try oil based makeup removers but most of the ones I like to try are quite pricey like the Shu Uemura Cleansing oil. I bought this makeup remover because it is priced at 166.40 Pesos for a 100ml bottle.
One of the first few things that I do after coming home from work is removing my makeup. I have never dared sleep with makeup on because I know for sure that I will develop rashes the day thereafter. So here I am looking all stressed at ngarag posing like an endorser for this product. Okay, take note I bought this product with my own money. This post is definitely not sponsored. Nag inarte lang ako sa pose. :p
I prefer using it with a cotton pad. How do I use it? I pour two -three drops of VCO on the cotton pad and press it gently on my lid (first). I first start cleaning my face by my removing eye makeup before anything else. Another way of removing makeup with the use of Oil makeup remover is by massaging a few drops of VCO on the face then wiping it off with cleansing wipes, cotton pad or dry facial tissue.
This Virgin Coconut Oil Makeup Remover is really good. As in really good!!! It melts my waterproof mascara very well and easily removes my waterproof liner too. I love makeup removers that immediately removes eye makeup because there is lesser chances of tugging and rubbing the eye area. We all know that the eye area is very sensitive and too much tugging/rubbing can immediately cause wrinkles. The consistency is not too thick and sticky. For an oil, I find it light enough and it does not feel too greasy compared to the other VCO that I have tried. This has a very subtle fresh scent. (Thank heavens). Most VCO smells like coconut which scent is something I am not very fond of. This did not cause me any irritations or breakouts. I find it to be very gentle because it does not sting my eyes/face, does not blur my vision nor make my eyes watery. Just make sure not to dampen the cotton pad too much or else the excess oil will enter your eyes. The greasiness will be gone after I washed my face with soap and water. To ensure that there will be no oil left on the skin, I finish off wiping my with a cleansing wipes then I proceed to wash my face with soap and water. This is 100% free from harsh chemicals and is proudly made in the Philippines.
I will definitely repurchase this Makeup Remover! Zenutrients is available at leading department stores like Landmark and Robinsons.
Godbless to all!

I was supposed to blog more than one post yesterday. I was really eagerto get home but it seems that stress just can't get enough of me. Oh well. Anyways, I will not rant about my stresses and how I am truly getting tired dealing with difficult people. Change topic na. Hinihigh blood na ako. #charot
Let's talk about toner nalang, shall we?This is for real, people.. I am talking about toner here on my blog. After many years of blogging, I never paid much attention to toners because I have dry skin. Yes, I had been an avid user of Eskinol but for cleansing purposes only and not as a toner. I have mentioned this before that I used Eskinol and other toners after wiping off my makeup, as an additional cleanser, before completely washing my face with facial cleansers/soap. Ergo, i did not get the so called benefits of using toner on my skin because I washed it off anyway. The most popular benefit of toner is deep pore cleansing. Having dry skin (but moderately oily on the tzone) with not so visible pores made me think that I do not need toner at all. I mean hey I honestly believe I can get away with just cleanse and moisturizer skin care regimen for the rest of my life. EEENNNGGG.. wrong.. Lately, I have been developing zits on my cheeks forehead and the sides of my jaw.And I was like -- Oh no.. ito na talaga ang signs of aging!! (feeling nasa puberty stage lang!haha) Well, for a fact, I rarely get pimples but I am very prone to rashes. Not all toners work the same, hence, each product is made for a specific skin type. Eskinol for one, can dry out my skin if I follow the cleanse, tone moisturizer pattern.
Then, Burt's Bees held their anniversary where I was privileged to attend. When the bloggers were asked what was their favorite from this brand and majority of them said that it was the garden tomato toner. My favorite beauty blogger, Liz Lanuzo, have raved about this toner in her blog before. She told me that she used it for years. I got really curious about this product but I told myself to keep my expectations low. Reading the ingredients and the label at the back, I can't help but get thrilled - 99.42% natural. Kaloka may .42% pa! hehe
On my first try of this product, I was not sold. Why? I did feel that slight warm sensation on my face. Honestly, I was not happy about it. Sabi ko so, eto na yun? :( Then, I told myself to continue using it just because of the 99.42% natural level written at the back. This time, I made sure I used it properly following the Cleanse, tone and moisturize procedure. After 3 more uses, I was loving it already. After a few days, I did not experience any warm or super slight burning sensation. I usually placed this inside the fridge for instant cooling and refreshing feel every use.
What I noticed is that my Tzone area is not that oily anymore and my base makeup lasts longer. My concealer seldom crease and my foundation does not cake. All thanks to the proper skin regimen that I am now following. I also noticed that my pores became less and less visible pero meron pa rin. So, do not expect that your pores will be gone after using this toner, okay? Now, I do not get that painful "feel it coming" pimples on my chins and other parts of the face. What I love about this toner is the scent. The scent is LOVE. I do not know but this smells so good that it hit my addiction level bull's eye. Be careful not to use this on the lid or near the eye area because it stings.(as in.)
Despite the heavy and fragile packaging,I am not complaining about it because it looks like a sosyal vinegar bottle!! haha
I use this nightly (every other day) or sometimes every night because I feel that dirt and pollution has been clogging my pores (the reason being, I only commute to and from work). I also find this toner mild enough not to cause any rashes on my face and not to trigger my psoriasis ( I have mild psoriasis on my face but goes away after steroid application). Actually, this somehow helped in calming my face whenever I have itchy rashes.
Overall, I highly recommend this toner to my readers. It costs 875 pesos but i think this will last me for months. The question is will I buy again? YES, of course! Well, subject to my financial condition at such time. hehe
Godbless.
I will draw the winner of my August giveaway later and will post a September Giveaway!

Okay walang katapusang event itey! hehe.. I have been lagging with posts (palagi naman.. hehe) and I just want to finish with all PR and events because I want to post more personal reviews and top five picks etc. Last week, I attended Burt's Bees 30th Birthday at Seda Hotel. I have known this brand ever since college but little did I know that they have tons of products from hair care to skin care.
Did you know that Burt of Burt's Bees really exists? Yep. I only learned this fact during the event and I was inspired by his life to the point na gusto ko na magpa adopt legally sa kanya.. haha kidding. But here's a quick video clip know more about Burt Shavits, co founder of Burt's Bees.
In the recent years, the brand has expanded to include six skincare lines to cater to both
men and women’s needs. For a radiant glow, suggest you try our Radiance Line which is
infused with royal jelly, a special ingredient packed with essential nutrients and vitamins for your skin.
For a more even complexion, the Daisy White range that features daisy
white extract from the Macedonian region naturally has whitening properties that is
perfect for you who seek a fairer tone. For those looking into an effective acne fighting system, our Acne Solutions range naturally zaps those unwanted impurities
with a powerful dose of willow bark extract, which has salicylic acid to combat acne related problems. Complexions with a need for deep replenishing, we offer our Intense Hydration line. It is formulated with clary sage, a plant which is known for
its water-retention properties as it is a plant that thrives even in the harsh desert climate.
The Sensitive range has cotton extract to address those with a delicate complexion,
while the Naturally Ageless line is made with pomegranate extract which promises an even
more youthful appearance.
Liz did a quick painting workshop for all of us. Have you seen her awesome sketches and paintings one IG? I love her creativity and while she's drawing this tree it was so easy for her like putting on lip balm.
Oh here is my quick painting. Pambata ang peg.. hehe.
Here are the goodies I received from the event. I am using everything right now and I am in love with the Garden Tomato Toner. What do you like me to review first?
Burt’s Bees products are available at all Beauty Bar branches nationwide.
