Since college, I have made a pact (well... to myself) to wear sunscreen everyday. Well, congratulate me for I have been keeping my promise to myself for more than ten years. I have never missed a day without applying a sunscreen (Oh, unless I will out at night). Years ago, most sunscreen available locally are either too thick or too sticky so it was so hard for me to find my perfect daily sunscreen. Whenever I would find one, I would definitely repurchase it over and over again. Over the years, I also realized that the best sunscreens are the ones made in ASIA!! Pramis!! I received this Biore UV Aqua Rich Whitening Essence with SPF 50+ PA++++ a few weeks ago (or month? Sorry wala na akong sense of time) and I have been using it nonstop. I am almost halfway through the product already. This fact simply shows that I love using this product.
Biore UV Aqua Rich Whitening Essence is made in Japan. It has whitening essence that melts into the skin. This sunscreen claims that it is cooling and light, softens and hydrates the skin, and contains citrus extracts. According to Biore, it has triple benefits: UV Protection, Hydration and Whitening.
This suncreen is housed in a slim white tube with a pointed nozzle. I find the squeeze tube and the pointed nozzle very useful because I can easily control the amount of product to be dispensed. The texture of this sunblock if really lightweight. It has a cooling effect but it is nothing close to a mentholated product. It actually feels refreshing when applied on the skin. It is also hydrating making it very easy to blend with my moisturizer. It does not sting and dries to a semi matte finish (that is why I love it). It dries into a dewy/moisturized finish on the skin. This is not sticky at all and it did not irritate me nor did it sting my eyes. The consistency is not runny nor does it feel too heavy and thick. If you noticed this has PA++++. PA refers to the ranking of the amount of sun protection the sunscreen has against the harmful UVA Rays because SPF only gives/ranks protection from UVB Rays. PA++++ is currently the highest UV protection in Japanese in terms of UVA protection.
It does give a very slight white cast on flash photography but this is hardly noticeable. It does not alter the shade of my foundation or powder. I really love the subtle citrus/fruity scent that it has.
Overall, I am in love with this sunblock. Will I repurchase? -- DEFINITELY!!! This only costs 350- 450 pesos and the product is really good. It has all the qualities I am looking for a sunscreen -Light, Hydrating and with a high SPF and PA rating.

Two Sunblock posts in one day, Why not diba? When I got this product, I told myself that this has got to be the most expensive looking sunblock I ever saw. This is the Ferment Snail Sun Cream. This product promises whitening, anti wrinkle and sun protection. This sunblock/suncream contains SPF 47 PA +++ and is house in this pump tub packaging. It look so sleek and posh.
The pump got me the moment I saw this product. I have never used a sunblock with a pump dispenser (I think) The pump is very useful as it controls the amount of product being dispensed. Out of all the sunblocks I have tried, this has got to be my number most favorite, my number 1 everyday sunblock. Yes. This deserves to be on the top because I just love everything about this product. From the packaging to the cream itself. Everything is just divine.
The cream is a usual sunblock cream once dispensed but it is very lightweight. More lightweight than my Belo and Shiseido. It is IMMEDIATELY absorbed by my dry skin. After application, it feels like I applied nothing on the skin because it is not sticky nor greasy. Everytime I apply this on my skin, I can feel that very instant nourishment and hydration. You can refer to the photo below that there is no shine and it does even not leave any white film or cast after spreading the product at the back of my hand. It goes on smoothly and creamy when applied. I also love its subtle scent. The scent is very energizing, relaxing, refreshing like a crossover citrus and lush greens (pero I maybe wrong, nagmamaganda lang ako magdescribe ng scent hehe). For the record, I never liked scented skin care products because I have allergic rhinitis but this one is truly an exception. This feels so gentle on the skin and it did not irritate my skin at all. I can use this even on days when I have rashes.
The price is also a bit steep for Php 1,398 but the price is really worth it because you get a good amount of SPF and the cream itself feels so good on the skin.
Over all, I really think that this is very good everyday suncream and definitely my favorite everyday sunblock. favorite I do not advise this for usage on beach trips or outings.
What is your favorite sun cream as of the moment?
Godbless

I got this from Shiseido's International Beauty Fair and I have been wearing it ever since I got it. It costs Php 2100. According to Shiseido, the newly developed WetForce technology emerged as the innovation that, when exposed to water or perspiration, makes the sunscreen film more uniform and smooth, enhancing its UV protection effect on the skin. I know the price is too steep for a sunblock but trust me this products works really well. I have been an avid user of sunblocks since college. I made sure that my skin is well protected from the heat of the sun. I have tried tons of other brands and this particular sunblock surely landed a spot on my favorites list. This can withstand the humid weather in Manila. It is easily absorbed by my skin and goes on smoothly when applied. This can magically smoothen out my skin and acts like a primer/base for my foundation. It does not make my skin oily and it does not feel greasy at all. It does not have have a flashback. The texture of this sunblock is very lightweight and not sticky. It claims to be waterproof and very water resistant but I have yet to test it out soon when I go on a beach trip or outing.
It is housed in a blue packaging just like their UV Foundation. It has a very watery and runny consistency and is easily absorbed by my skin after a few seconds of application.. This has SPF 50++ PA ++.
I love this sunblock especially on humid days. However, there are times that it stings my face whenever I have rashes.
Godbless everyone!

HOT!!! Manila is freaking hot today! I cannot even move a finger without sweating like a pig. Tsk. The sun's heat pricks my skin like hell. I never get out of the house without an umbrella but there are times that I forget to bring one. But one thing I never forget is wearing a sunblock before going out.
I never loved sunblocks until now. Why? I tried using one before and it made my face itch, it clogged my pores like big time and I just feel so uncomfortable wearing it. Before, I was just too satisfied with wearing a moisturizer with SPF but when I saw my Aunt's cheek with a dark blemish that was due to the harsh rays of the sun, from then on sunblock became a staple to my skin care regimen. I had a hard time finding the right sunblock for me especially for my face and neck area. Let's quickly discuss the basics (only the basics.. I will not go in depth with the details because you can google a lot of information about it) on sunblock first. I know you have seen UVA, UVB and SPF on your sunblock and even your moisturizers. UV stands for Ultra Violet which refers to the harsh rays from the sun. A stands for aging or those particularly referring to cancer causing rays while B stands for burning. UVB are those ultra violet rays that cause immediate effect on the skin like sun burns and can be greatly linked to skin cancer. SPF means Sun Protection Factor and this only applies to UVB protection. The higher amount of SPF does not mean effectiveness of the sunblock rather how long the sunblock will remain effective or the length of time a person can stay under the sun without burning.
I have super dry skin and it is overtly sensitive at the same time. So what are the sunblocks that worked for me? Scroll down for more. |

Snoe Suntervention Serious Sun Protection with SPF 80++ Broad Spectrum UVA/UVA Block Price: 699 pesos This was given to me by Snoe Beauty during the Suntervention Bloggers Convention Event. This is one of their newest product launched in time for Summer. The smell and consistency is like a normal sunblock. It is quite thick but creamy. It is very easy to blend and it is absorbed by the skin. It feels light too.I tried using it on my face but I did not like it. I somehow felt a tingling sensation when I used it. My face also felt a bit tighter than usual. This is suitable if you want to go the the beach or to the pool. A tube has a shelf life of two years from manufacturing date. I experienced no itching or any other break outs when I used this. |

Like most sunblocks, it gives that ghostly white cast when worn.

Snoe Here Comes The Sunblock
Instant White with SPF 45
with Sigmkamas
Price: 199 pesos
Another Sunblock from Snoe Beauty. This is a paraben free product. I bought this because a lot of bloggers are raving about it. They say that it instantly whitens the skin. I did not believe them so I bought one for myself to see if it is true. Haha Indeed, it gave my skin instant whitening. It does not look fake at all but my skin looks fairer and glowing. I can use this everyday because it is light on the skin and it feels like a lotion on my skin. the texture and consistency of this lotion is very runny. It is not greasy at all and it is absorbed by my skin easily. On top of that, it has a nice scent to it.This is definitely a must try. Also, this is very affordable too. It only costs 199 pesos for a 100 ml bottle.

See how it made my skin a bit lighter. The key is to blend the product well on your skin to avoid the whitish streaks. |

Belo Essentials Sun Expert SPF 40 PA +++ for the FACE UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Price: 299 pesos
Out of the three sunblocks, this is my absolute favorite. This is already my second bottle. I am absolutely in love with it. It is non comedogenic and hypo allergenic. It does not have that funky sunblock smell at all. It is actually fragrance free and since I have allergic rhinitis, this is definitely a plus point. This is not sticky or greasy at all. No tingling or stinging feel when applied on the face. It is very very lightweight (emphasis on this!!). I could layer this without fear of looking like a grease ball at mid day. I use it on my face everyday! This is an indispensable part of my skin care regimen. The consistency and texture is creamy and airy. It blends so well on my face even without moisturizer. I want to try the one for the BODY which slightly costs higher than this. Will I buy this again? YES! Definitely! I highly recommend this sunblock to everyone. |

Another plus point about this sunblock -- NO WHITE CAST!
These sunblocks are the ones I am currently using. What sunblock are you using to protect your skin from sun damage? God bless everyone. Disclaimer: These products are suitable to my skin and which works for me might not work for you or vice versa. The Snoe Here Comes the Sunblock and the Belo Essentials are bought with my own money. The Snoe Suntervention is from Snoe Beauty.
