I received a gift from Bohktok Lashes and Nippon Ph a week ago. I have been seeing this brand, Bohktok from known pro makeup artists such as Jigs Mayuga and Denise Ochoa. This is also the same brand of lashes Toni Gonzaga wore on her wedding day. I was so excited to receive a box from Bohktok. I was expecting a box of fluttery black lashes but I was surprised to see these! Yes, brown lashes. I knew famous makeup artists who use brown falsies instead of black ones but I was very apprehensive about these lashes until I tried them. The band of this lashes is very thin. I suggest using a tweezer in applying this falsies for a more natural effect. This blends very well with my natural lashes after curling them together followed by mascara. This feels lightweight and comfortable to wear (at least for me, for those who are not used to wearing falsies this may look intimidating but trust me they feel comfortable). Also, these lashes do not droop down because they are in a curled form. Just make sure to cut the extra band on both ends to prevent pricking the lids. The length these lashes are great. I need not trim the lashes at all. The only thing I did was to cut the extra band on both ends. The length is perfect for my eyes. :)

This is the P-065. I really thought that the brown shade would make me look weird but it definitely look natural than I expected. On the photos, these lashes are phenomenal. The brown shade added depth to my crease. You may refer to my IG photos and blog photos of me wearing these lashes for further proof.

 The manual is very useful because it is very informative. All my questions were answered like who can use it, is it safe for the eyes and other stuff. This is made in India.  The trademark Sophia is now being registered at the IPO and the BFAD already went to their company for inspection purposes. I can't wait for this product to be out in the market. 

 How to use it:

You should use it with a clean face. NO MAKEUP AND OTHER IMPURITIES. You pour one drop on the cap of the SOphia bottle and dip the brush. Using the brush provided, it is the same process like putting eyeliner on your lid but this time more closer. You could apply it repeatedly apply the solution until it is gone.  You must blot out the excess to prevent unwanted hair growth on other areas. 

What are the possible side effects:

Eyelid pigmentation - I asked my sis if your whole lid will turn brown, she told me only the area nearest to your eyelashes, so imagine yourself with natural looking brown liner. One good thing about this is that this side effect is reversible upon discontinuing the use of Sophia. 

Hair Growth Outside the Treatment Area - That is why you have to blot out the excess. 

You can also experience inflammation, eye redness and itching. 

I also used it last night. My eyelid was a bit itching but not too much. I was expecting my eyes to get swolled and all the worst effects that I could imagine but nothing of that sort happened. haha

I'm BACK!!!! haha.. I want to thank everyone who helped me get through the bar exams. I will do a separate post about my bar exams experience. wahh.. I actually want to have a temporary amnesia for a while. I don't want to think of my mistakes. I just want to pray and believe. 

Moving on, I received this mascara months ago. I am very sorry for the delayed review of this. When I got this mascara, I hurriedly tried it on. I was a bit disappointed. 
Why? Look at this picture:

It made my lashes look like spider's feet. right? It weighed down my lashes too. The next thing I know, I threw this mascara in my drawer and did not dare use it at all. I have short and sparse lashes. I want a mascara that lengthens and gives volume to my lashes. 

 I suddenly realized, that although this mascara has a wet formula, it also has a thick consistency. Can you see? It seems as if it is infused with fibers. I tried it again. The results? REMARKABLE!

The first step of the Yanqina mascara just enhanced my natural lashes and it did a great job of separating and defining my lashes. When I applied the Step 2, it made me look like I am wearing falsies! YEY

 How did I achieve this sky high lashes (or tirik na tirik lashes?haha) ?

I simply let the Yanqina mascara to dry before applying another coat and loads more coat.. haha

That's it. Plus I followed Eki's tips in one of her videos.

I was really confused when I got this mascara. I thought that it has two wands. After a while, I just realized how dumb I was. Of course the rule is: no two things can occupy the same space at the same time.I know you are also wondering why is there a step 1 and step two, if there is only one mascara product and only one wand too. There is a huge difference in using step 1 or step two and using both steps. :D

When you use the step 1. The mascara wand is not loaded with the product because the second wand filters and removes the excess product. When you use the step 2, obviously, it is loaded with more product. 

My take on this mascara? I simply love it. 

Again, it all boils down to proper application. 

Why I love the Yanqina Mascara?

• It made my natural lashes looks as if they are falsies. It lengthens and volumizes my lashes gorgeously. This is very evident on my pictures right?
• It can hold my curl for hours.
• It is very easy to remove.
