This year I developed a new addiction - taking quick showers 2- 3x per day especially when time permits me to do so. Yas!!! Ito ang cause ng dahilan kung bakit ang taas ng binabayaran namin sa Maynilad! Char! haha I am not really fond of shopping for bath product until now. Sampleroom PH sent me samples of this Palmolive Naturals Flawless Clean Soap and would you believe that this soap I took a picture is not part of the samples they sent me. This is my second soap already. The other soaps were taken by the parentals and my siblings! haha Charcoal is known as an odor neutralizer or eliminator. It was not my first time to use a soap with charcoal ingredients but what makes this soap extra special was its scent!!! Ang bango niya super!! Even my father fell in love with the scent. The scent is not too overpowering. It smells like sweet flowers basta mabango. I can't fully describe the scent pero mapapaligo ka talaga sa bango niya. haha This has tiny beads which I thought can double as a scrub but the beads does not help in exfoliation.

This soap does a great job of thoroughly cleansing my skin. I can easily tell that it removes dirt and it leaves my skin squaky clean and fresh. What I really love about this soap is that it does not leave any greasy or sticky feeling (and even after I perspire). It can be a bit drying at times especially now that we are in the BER months. Please take note that I have overly dry skin. I really hope Palmolive will release a body wash variant for this soap. This soap did not irritate my skin nor did it make my skin itch. Some bar soaps makes my skin itchy but this one is an exception. 

 A month before my big day and I find myself still looking for that perfect brow product to fill in my sparse browse. I am just too choosy when it comes to my brows because it is a make or break for me. Pag pangit ang kilay, waley na!! I have a few products already on my list but I was still looking for that perfect brow product. I wanted something that is easy to use, long lasting and would look vavavoom on the brows without making it look too sharp and/or overdone. Days ago, I was invited by House of Brands MNL to a shopping spree at their store. I was very giddy when I say that one of the sellers they have is Chedelyn's Cosmetics. Chedeyn Cosmetics is  an online store that carries a lot of US Drugstore brands. Also, they are usually seen in bazaars. I got this brow product because I have not yet used any brow pomade. Since I have been hearing raves about the Anastasia Dip brow, I decided to try a cheaper version. This costs half the price of the Dip brow. I got this for 450 pesos. 

It is housed in a glass pot with 0.09 oz weight. It came with a dual ended brush which I really think would not be useful at all. The brush that came with this brow pomade is one of the best brow tool I have in my kit now!!!!!!! 

 The angled brush is stiff, thin and can create a very sharp tail. It makes brow shaping very easy and filling in my brows is a breeze. The spoolie is probably the most overlooked brow tool ever. But did you know that this tool can actually turn your brows to wow brows? This spoolie is stiff and it brushes off the excess brow product very well. Very well that it turns my brows look more natural.

 Staying power is AWESOME. As its name suggests, this stayed put on my brows sans any retouching!! It just made my brows look so gorgeous (nagbuhat ako ng sariling bangko hahahah). Pero truelaloo, my brows look so good in person but my brows look even more better on photos. Please refer to the photo below!!

 Oh diba?? ang bongga ng kilay ko!!!! I lav eeett!!!! This will definitely be part of my wedding makeup kit!!!!

Being the no-suklay girl that I always am, I have had many experience when someone would comment and say, "mukha kang bruha" or "mukha kang sinabunutan".  More often than not, (dahil aware akong mukha nga akong sinabunutan), I would just smile and quickly run my fingers through my hair to fix it. CreamSilk sent me their latest Stand out Straight Leave on Cream. Truth be told, I did not expect so much from this product because I knew that my hair will always have its own world and the only time I have a control of it are during the times that I blowdry it or use conditioner (which I do not usually use for everyday). 

I honestly tried this leave on cream for purposes of review and this came in as a surprise. I absolutely love this product!!! I use this everytime I don't use conditioner. This makes my hair frizz free and easy to comb and manage. I love that it is NOT AT ALL OILY or GREASY! It makes my hair very soft and silky. This only costs 49 pesos and I will definitely repurchase!

One of the skincare brands that I truly loved last 2014 was Yves Rocher (EEVS ROSHEY). I have tried their Sebo Vegetal Range: http://www.mylucidintervals.com/2014/09/yves-rocher-sebo-vegetal-review.html 

Surprisingly, despite being a product for oily skinned gals, I love this line. It is one of those skincare range that I finished to the very last drop. This year, Yves Rocher has a new anti aging line called Serum Vegetal. These products have that distinct fresh Yves Rocher scent that I really love. The new Serum Vegetal is an anti-wrinkle innovation. This line stems from an incredible plant, Ice Plant. The Ice Plant originates from South Africa and is able to adapt in extreme conditions and face anything. The Serum Vegetal has four variants: Wrinkles & Radiance, Wrinkles & Firmness, and Wrinkles & Lifting. 

I got the Wrinkles and Firmness. This line uses Acacia Gum that is used to boost the production of collagen and hyalauronic acid which is responsible for skin's structure. This makes skin firmer and plumper from within. 

The day cream is very light and has a gel like consistency while the cream has a very rich and hydrating texture. The Serum is light and hydrating as well. This line is being used by my mom. I tried to use it but she needs it more. hehe She is loving this line and it did not cause her any irritation. She told me that this Serum Vegetal range makes her skin look plump and healthier. As for the wrinkles, she can not attest to the fact that it has been eliminated because she has not seen any results yet.

Last month, BYS celebrated its 3rd anniversary in the Philippine Beauty Market. In celebration of this event, BYS partnered with Glamourbox for a September Exclusive box. BYS is an Australian brand. This brand is designed and developed in Melbourne and is known for their world class quality sans the exorbitant price range. BYS is one of those brands that is always up to date with the latest makeup craze or fashion trend. During the workshop, Pro Mua Katch taught us a day to night look but focusing on the technique of strobing. 

Lia, the CEO of Glamourbox, gave a quick introduction before the workshop. 

Strobing technique is basically another term for highlighting. It is highlighting the facial features where light would naturally hit the face like the forehead, nose bridge, temples,  chin and brow bone. Katch has taught us about baking. Baking is a makeup technique of setting base makeup by letting loose/translucent powder sit on the face for 10-15 minutes. This creates a seamless and flawless finish. My technique is using a lighter shade of loose powder and after dusting it off, viola - instant baking/highlighting all at the same time. The model looked flawless after the baking technique. 

This year I was excessively obsessed with brows. NYX Eyebrow Gel is one of the products that is in my to buy/to try list.  I really wanted to check out the shades before buying this product. Sadly, NYX counters here in MNL do not carry all the five shades. I ended up researching for my perfect shade and buying this product online. I bought this at Makeupinboxph for 285 pesos and I had to wait for 3 weeks to a month to get my order. So again, pre order is not for people with low EQ. hehe

Many considers this NYX Eyebrow Gel as a dupe for MUFE Aqua Brow. I have personally not tried the latter (kasi mahalia) so I do not have the authority to compare the two products. I got the shade Brunette which a is a perfect medium ash brown. This shade does not have any red undertones and looks best on my black brown hair before and it still complements my new golden brown hair now. 

Maybelline has been conquering the makeup scene in the Philippine market lately. They have a lot of new releases this year and I have been going crazy over their newest products. As you all know I am a DRUGSTORE makeup junkee, kung hindi lang ako ikakasal ang dami ko na naman nabiling makeup. Tsk tsk. Anyways, I first saw these velvet matte lip colors in BeautyMNL. I got very curious with it. This year is the "liquid lipstick year". Almost all brands whether high end or low end have their own take on this product.

Maybelline Velvet Matte lip color is housed in a plastic tube similar to the color sensational glosses released a year ago. Correct me if I am wrong I forgot the name of those lippies (pero blinog ko yun ah!). It comes with a tear drop sponge applicator. The size of these lip colors are very handy
 I can squeeze in at least three inside my kikay kit in one go or even in my pocket. It only costs 349 pesos but is currently priced at 299 pesos as an introductory price. I got 9 shades. I dont know if this is the complete number of lippies in this line.

Over all, these Velvet Matte lipcolor may not be true to its name but I find that it to be a very versatile lip product. Why? The lip colors can be used as a top coat like a gloss or if rubbed gently onto the lips it goes on like a velvet stain. I really thought these lip colors will not work on me because I have dark liplines but as evidenced by my lip swatches they are fairly pigmented.

I highly suggest Mat 6 and Mat 11!! Have you tried these newest lip colors?

As a neat freak myself, I use two different kinds of soaps for my body, another for my face and of course for my feminine area. Before Ph Care has sent me their newest variants. I have already tried the Guava Leaf Extract because I got curious when I saw it in the drugstore. What caught my eyes are the words Natural and Anti-Bacterial. Being a woman who is always on the go, I am looking for feminine wash that can truly protect me form unwanted odor and bacteria.

When Nuxe invited me to their launch, I did not readily reply to their invitation because I know nothing about the brand. I made a quick research and began to learn that the brand is from France. Upon learning this, I immediately confirmed my attendance. Recently, I have made a silent declaration unto myself that the best skin care brands come from three countries: France, Japan and Korea. I was so excited for this event albeit my utter lack of correct pronunciation on their products. because I have read a lot of good feedbacks regarding this brand.

Let me share with you a history about this French brand:
