Pink Sugar is one of the latest Filipino brands. They launched last year and I am pretty amazed with the quality of their products particularly their creamy lipsticks and their blushes. Last month, they sent me their latest products and I am beyond thrilled. Siyempre, as a beautu enthusiast, kilig ako with their newest lipstick shades na ala kylie jenner ang peg. They also sent their newest brow gel. Yung totoo? I did not even care about these brow gels. I am happy with a clear brow gel and most tinted brow gels that I have tried are just mediocre. Pero laking gulat ng lola niyo when I began using this product. Panalo as in winner in english ito!!!!

It comes in a black plastic tube with a regular sized mascara wand. This comes in three shades: blonde, taupe and brunette.

Blonde is a light golden brown shade.
Taupe is a neutral brown.
Brunette is a deep chocolate color.

Taupe works best on my brow color on top of my regular brow pencils. Brunette looks great when used alone and it looks super natural when applied. What is great with these brow gels is that you can use them on their own. Aside from giving brows color, it livens up sparse brows by making them look fuller naturally. Taupe and Blonde works well on top of other brow products but Brunette is best used on its own due to its strong pigmentation. The consistency of these gels are very blendable and lightweight. They are runny and liquidy enough making it perfect for brushing or blending on the brows. Despite its opaque color, the the color sheers out when applied making application easier and making it look natural when worn. This brow gel keeps my brows in place. It is long lasting and does not budge. It also helps lengthen the staying power of the brow pencils that I use.

For 299 pesos, this brow gel is such a steal. It makes my brows look fuller. I love the shade taupe. This is how it looks like on top of my pencil drawn/filled brows. Winner diba?

Finally, I am in the Colourpop bandwagon! For months, I have been contemplating if i should get a Colourpop lipstick but luckily, I received a message from an online seller in instagram asking me if I would love to try out Colourpop! I did not hesitate and immediately went over the Colourpop website to check the shades. Thank you @thevanitybelle of instagram for this.

My dilemma boiled down to whether I should get the lippie stix or the liquid lipstick. Since I do not have liquid lipsticks in my stash, I chose the liquid version. Now, there are two formulas that I chose: Ultra Satin and Ultra Matte. The Ultra Satin Lip Colors are the fairly new formula of Colourpop. It is a cross between satin and matte lipstick. It gives off a healthy sheen but adheres to the lipstick like a matte formula. The Ultra Matte Version is almost the same with the Ultra satin Version sans the sheen.

The color pay off of these liquid lipsticks are phenomenal. If you have not heard of the rumor, these lippies are very similar in ingredients and texture with the expensive Kylie Lip Kits. The intense color pigment delivers easily with one swipe. It goes on full color with even one layer and it the ultra matte dries down to a super matte finish. I love how lightweight the consistency of these liquid lipsticks are. They cover up my dark lip lines very well too. Application is very easy as the size of the doe foot applicator is small enough to get into the corners of my lips.

It is long lasting but starts to crumble especially on the inner portion of the lips when you eat oily food. One of the cons is that it is very drying and unforgiving on chapped lips. It is best to use it with a lipbalm for easier removal.

The Ultra Satin version does not settle on the fine lines and does not highlight the dry areas of my lips. This is evidenced by the Lip swatches below. On the other hand, the Ultra Matte Version can emphasize every crack and dry portion of the lips, hence, hydrating the lips and getting rid of the cracked or dry skin will make the lip color apply look more polished/smooth.

Lumiere 2 is a brainchild of my favorite youtube guru, Kathleen Lights. The color actually changes depending on the skin tone of the person wearing it. Lumiere 2 on my lips is a cool toned purplish pink that has gray tones to it.

Frick N Frack is a warm terracotta with peachy brown hue.

Tulle is a deep reddish brown.

Bad habit is gorgeous intense medium fuchsia pink.

Overall, the colors I have chosen areEvery beautiful except for lumiere 2 that do not work on my skintone. My favorite is Bad habit which is surprising because I am not fond of pink lipsticks.

I blogged about Eye of Horus years ago. This brand has one of the best pencil liners O have ever tried. This time they sent me their brow pencils for me to try. Like most products that I have not heard much reviews or raves, I have no expectations on these brow products. Right now, I am enjoying a variety of brow pencils in my stash and adding a new one would probably not make any difference. But the Eye of Horus particularly the brow definer is such an awesome product, I can't go on with my makeup without it!!!!!

Ultimate Brow Define

Add shape, color, and definition to your brows with just one tool! The Ultimate Brow Define comes with a slim, pointed tip that easily draws hair on spots that need more coverage and easily fills in the shape of your brows naturally. It also comes with a spooley to brush brows and help the product blend in.

This is a micro/slim retractable brow pencil that comes with a spooley on the other end. The spooley is very useful to brush off excess powder on the brows and blending the pencil color naturally. I got the shade Dynasty or medium brown and it makes my brows look extra define and 3d ish. It creates fine thin strokes that resembles my hair making it look so natural but with right pressure and amount, it defines the outer line or edges of my brows like a pro. It also makes a very sharp tail. I love the color so much because it blends well with my natural brow color. My only problem with this pencil is it breaks easily so make sure to apply as less pressure as possible.

Dual Brow Perfect

This works well in filling up the brows and making my sparse brows look a bit fuller than usual. The brow gel is great! It keeps the brows in place and lengthens the staying power of the pencil.

This is how both products looked when worn. This photo is unjustifiable because it did not capture how great the Ultimate Brow Define is! That pencil makes my kilay game so strong I have been using it daily!!!

When Happy Skin came out with this strobing kit, I could not be anything but excited. That was the time when strobing was the latest trend and stick contours and highlighters were the craze. I could still remember the time when I hurried to the nearest branch of Plains and Prints to test out the contouring stick. I was drawn to this particular product and it was love at first swatch. The color looks so nice on my skin and the product stayed put at the back of my hand for hours. When these babies arrived at my doorstep, they immediately became part of my favorites. Sadly, it took me this long to blog about them. Sabi nga nila, it is better late than never.

The products in this kit are chubby cream products in a stick form. They are very handy and easy to use. No tools needed because fingers will do the trick. The warmh of my hands made the blending and application such a breeze. However, if you are a sanitary/hygiene freak, you can always use synthetic brushes to apply these products and it will still apply beautifully.

The products are lightweight and very belndable. The intensity is buildable. The colors are very pigmented and universal especially for the highlighting and contour stick which I really love.

The contouring stick is a beautiful taupe color that gives off a natural shadow/shade on the skin when applied. This is a very long lasting producg especially when used underneath powder foundation. What I love about it is that it slims down my face very naturally unlike other contour powders that look grayish or harsh in my yellow skin tone.

The highlighting stick is a gorgeous champagne that looks ethereal on the skin. This highlighter is one of the best in ny stash and it does make me look glowing from within. If this product has been launched way back in December, I would definitely use this for my wedding. The color suits my mediun skin tone. I love that it does not cling on to the dry areas of my face and does not highlight my pores and rashes. It lasts fairly well on my skin and gives off tiny hints of sheen by mid day. Layering it with another highlighter will make it last longer.

The blush is a medium bright pink with tiny specks of golden shimmer. This color has a hint of peach albeit unnoticeable making it such a universal color. On its own, it gives off a lovely flusb and sheen on the skin. It is my least favorite in the kit but for those who are always on the run, cream blushes will save you time because it is very easy to apply.

This is the color of the contouring stick on ny skin. I know it looks scary brown but trust me it looks super natural when blended.

Did I just say that the blush is my least favorite? I'll take it back!!! Haha Look how patweetums and youthful my cheeks look with it. Can you see the contour? It blended very well right?

Lastly, this is how the highlighter looked on my skin!!! Pak na pak lang!! It looks so good in person and as well as in photos. It looks like a highend product diba?

The kit costs 1299 pesos and I highly recommend getting the contour an highlight one but if you are looking for an everyday kit the blush and highlighter is perfect. Each stick costs 799 pesos.

Hurry, this is only a limited edition of Happy Skin in partnership with Plains and Prints. I really hope they will make this a part of their permanent collection because these products are really awesome.

Aside from morning sickness, I am experiencing psoriasis flare ups particularly on my forehead and cheeks. My dermatologist said it was okay to use steroids sparingly at such a minimal dosage. I tries it once but out of paranoia, I would rather have patches all over my face than see the harmful effects of steroids on my baby. Moisturizers do not work for me even those from my trusted brands. My HG facial wash suddenly felt weird on my skin. It seemed as if my skin does not want to cooperate to any skin care products that it loved before. I had to change sunblocks twice within a month which is a bit costly!

I was honestly about to give up then I got invited by Bioderma in their event. Their event was primarily for their sebium pore refining line but their other products got me really interested. It was their Hydrabio, Photoderm and Atoderm line that caught my attention.

I got one product from each line and I could not be more happier. These product worked wonder for my skin! First let me tell you about the blue tube in the first photo. That is the Atoderm Gel Douche (Gentle Shower Gel) From Bioderma "Gently cleanses non-atopic, dry skin, leaving it soft and comfortable, for babies, children and adults. Contains coconut and sunflower extract that moisturize the skin. It has gentle cleansing property and soap-free for its non-drying effect. Copper sulfate has anti-bacterial property to purify the skin. Hypo-allergenic, paraben-free."

At first I was a bit hesitant to use this for my face. I kept asking the saleslady if this can be used for the entire face as it was a shower gel as mentioned in the description. She assured me that it can be used on my face. Glad I did pick this up because this has a very calming effect on my dry irritated skin. It also removes dirt and gunk on my face without leaving my skin dry and tight. I love how just a little amount of product can cleanse my entire face very well (like a pea size will do). It is also very affordable for 628 pesos for such a huge tube.

I also switched to this sunblock. This is the Bioderma Photoferm Max. According to Bioderma, this offers maximum compliance, protection and comfort from damaging UVB and UVA, employs exclusive patent Cellular Bioprotection®. This sunblock has SPF 50+. It has a very runny texture. It is lightweight and works like a cream moisturizer when applied because it is readily absorbed by my skin. This has no scent and did not irritate my skin. The nozzle is useful in controlling the amount product you dispensed. This does not give off a white cast on flash photography but make sure to use sparingly. This costs 1288 pesos.

This was one of the products I am really excited to try. This is the Hydrabio moisturizing serum for dehydrated, sensitive skin. This serum retrains the skin to moisturize itself. It comes in a fresh gel texture. It is lightweight and permeates on the skin upon application. It helped retain moisture on my skin and hydrates it the whole. It is now an extra step to my growing skin care routine. I apply this after toner or after using a facial wash then followed by my regular moisturizer. This costs for 1,508 pesos.

Here is the photo of how the sunblock and serum looks like. The serum feels like a fresh lightweight gel that turns into water when spread on the skin.

Here is a photo of my face sans makeup after weeks of using Bioderma Products. Do not mind my psoriasis flare ups on my forehead, I am just happy that the rest of my face now looks better.

I am in love with Bioderma skin care line. I want to try more of their products especially from the Atoderm line. Indeed, Bioderma has changed my skin for the better. I love how most of their products are made for sensitive skin.

When I went to Korea way back in 2014, I got so surprise by this store selling nothing else but masks. A lot of women were hoarding masks by the bundle. Of course, I was bewildered. For me it was just a part of a crazy Korean skin care routine. Years ago, it was just wash, tone, moisturize and sunblock for me. Fast forward now, facial masks has got to be one of my favorite skin care products. Wearing facial masks now has been an indulgent treat to my ever troubled skin. My favorite brand is Leaders Insolution from Korea. I know I have shared this brand time and again in this blog but what I love about them is the fact that they have no parabens in their products and they use natural preservatives.

Plus the sleeping mask is like an essence that effectively penetrates into the skin over night. The peeling gel does not sting nor is too abrasive for my sensitive skin too.

More often than not, my under eyes are usually dry and wrinkly due to my bad habit of rubbing my my eyes. This eye patch is a dream. It soothes my puffy eyes and is great for removing bags and brightening dark circles. It is perfect to use whenever you have an occasion or special event to attend to and there is a need to have that instant eye lift. This is a gel patch. It instantly gives a soothing and cooling effect.

It has been more than a month since I first tested the Kojie San Lightening Range and the results are pretty good. I am on my second trimester of pregnancy and one of my fears is having darker skin. My OB told me that most pregnant women suffer skin darkening particularly on the neck area, underarm and inner thighs. This prompted me to be extra religious in using the Kojie San Lightening. So far, I have not yet experienced any skin darkening perhaps this can be attributable to the high grade Kojic Acid in the Kojie San soap that prevents rapid melanin production.Despite having psoriases flare ups, my skin does not feel itchy whenever I use the Kojic Acid Soap.

This soap (in the photo) is actually our second bar (for the family). To make the soap last extra longer, make sure to slice it into four pieces. This will turn the large soap into mini kojie san soaps. I also noticed that with this technique, you get to use every bit of the soap. Unlike other papaya or kojic soap, Kojie San does not transfer any orange stains on my loofah or mini bath towels.

The lightening lotion is a family favorite. My brother and sister swears by this product. Both of them wanted to have even skin tone and they have been looking for a whitening lotion that does not feel heavy or sticky. This lotion is heaven sent for us (me and my siblings).
