Sa wakas may internet na kami!!!After weeks of waiting, PLDT finally installed the internet in our new home. Ang tagal kong nag antay ah!!! So much for their advertisement na 3-5 days installation upon submission of complete requirements. I waited for a month! Anyways, enough of my rant.
I have been meaning to blog about local and affordable finds again beceause I have always believed that there are gems in the drugstore. So I thought of creating a makeup look using products worth 150 pesos and below. I searched for 150 peso products that looked promising and would work for my skin. Without further ado, here are the products that I got plus their my mini reviews on each of them.
Iwhite Korea BB Holic BB cream - For my base, I used this 24.50 pesos bb cream. Made a review on this before. Click the link for my detailed review -- http://www.mylucidintervals.com/2016/07/iwhite-bb-holic-everyday-bb-cream.html
Nichido Pressed Powder in Tan (100 pesos) - Initially, I wanted to use the Nichido Loose Setting Powder for this blog post but I remember Michelle Dy used this product in one of her videos. When I swatched this powder at the Nichido Counter, I was amazed with the pigmentation and coverage. Also, the shade Tan was a perfect match for my skintone (or so I thought it was). The shade Tan has a peachy beige tone which looks a tad bit lighter for my medium yellow skin tone. It came with a very (take note) puff which I threw immediately. This powder has a familiar makeup scent from old makeup (yung tipong chinchunsu and mena ). This blends well with a sponge and mattifies my face very well. However, I do noticed that it made my skin looked very powdery and dry. I t also caked on the sides of my nose and dry areas of my face. For 100 pesos, what more can you ask for?
Ever Bilena Liquid Concealer (140 pesos) - This is one ne of the newest products from Ever Bilena that I really wanted to try. Aside from the fact that I am concealer and foundation addict, this baby looks promising for only a 140 pesos tag price. This came in two shades light and medium. Light is a light beige shade with slight yellow tones. This came in a plastic tube with a doe foot applicator. The coverage looks nice when swatched at the back of my hand. It seemed buildable but the story changes when I applied it on my under eyes. It can not cover my dark circles at all and adding layers upon layer does not seem to work. This has a dewy finish but does not settles on my fine lines. What I did was I applied concealer then set it off with the Nichido Pressed powder then I once again applied this concealer then set it again with the powder to achieve my desired coverage. Good thing no cakiness happened because this concealer is light and blendable.Ever Bilena Concealer in Light and Nichido Pressed Powder in Tan
Sansan Eyebrow Duo Powder (150 pesos) - It has been years since I have visited HBC and I was very glad to see new products especially this brow powder at their store. I am not a fan of the shades which looked scary dark on the pan. It has rich chocolate brown and a very dark almost brown black shade. It came with an angled brush which feels very stiff. This brow duo is powdery but very pigmented. I have no expectations on this product at all. I just bought this just for the sake of trying it and for blog purposes. Lo and behold, I love this brow duo!!!!!! Akalain niyo yun!!! This brow powder is very long lasting!! Take note. The longevity of this brow product is awesome and lasts all day on my without need for touch ups. The color is buildable. Also, I can lighten the of this powders with the use of a spoolie and a light hand. It gives my sparse brows an illusion of thickness and fullness. I love applying it with a use of a wet angled brush. I also use this to fill in the gaps on my brows whenever I use tint or pencils for outline.
Swatch of the San San Brow Duo Powder
San San Waterproof Eyeliner (105 Pesos) - Without even testing this product, I immediately grabbed it and paid it at the counter because it only costs 105 pesos. The color pay off is very nice. It is a jet black shade with a glossy finish. It applies seamlessly and does not tug my lids. It is long lasting (almost whole day on my lids but take note I have dry skin) and does not turn gray at the end of the day. Sadly, this is not waterproof as it claimed it be. I have tried applying a winged liner look with this product and ended up with smudged liner on the outer corner of my eyes.
Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara (149 pesos) I got this on sale for 149 pesos only. It is originally priced at 199 pesos. I forgot to take photos but I will soon be blogging about it separately. This mascara is one of the most affordable in the market. This is probably one of my most favorite Maybelline Mascara. This lenghtens and volumizes my lashes really well. The formula is not too wet and the mascara brush is one of the classic brushes that I love.
San San Lip Crayon in Power Plum (165 pesos) - I got this lipstick first and remembered that I plan to do a post featuring 150 pesos products and below. So, I will just be posting this para hindi naman sayang ang effort ko finding this product. I wanted the other shades available that neutral one but sadly, oos in all three HBC stores I went. I have heard a lot of raves from different bloggers about this lip crayon. This is a matte lipstick and has gives off a very opaque finish upon application. One layer is enough to create a full lip color. I have not yet tried this long enough to review its longevity and if its drying on the lips.
Silky Girl and San San Swatches
Essence Silky Touch Blush -(100 pesos) Again, I bought this on sale. This is originally priced for 199 pesos. This is one of my best buys for this year so far. I used my favorite shade Natural Beauty, full review here: http://www.mylucidintervals.com/2016/05/essence-silky-touch-blush-review-and.html
