After months of being MIA, I am finally back. I never thought I will be blogging again. Akala ko talaga mag sign off na ang mylucidintervals. I was on the verge of closing this blog. Motherhood has truly changed me. There were times that I wanted to blog or go to an event but I opted not to because I need to work, take care of my baby, or I just want to spend my time chilling at home. I really wanted to share my story to everyone but I think a separate post on this is best.
After giving birth, I surprisingly lost my appetite/passion for makeup. For months, I was not buying anything except for powder foundation. I felt old wearing winged liner or even wearing lipstick seem odd. For a long time, I was planning to hit pan on all the makeup I have in my stash. I even wanted to give them all away. 😅 Call it post partum or nag iinarte lang ako, I feel ugly even until now. I haven't lost the pregnancy weight. I still have 20 lbs left. My psoriasis flared up big time all over my legs. My facial skin also has issues - pimples and psoriasis flare ups (bakit di ka mawala?). What I was really excited about was skincare. Not just ordinary skincare! I am so obssessed with the ten step korean regimen. A new korean IG online store (koreachingu2
http://instagram.com/koreanchingu2 ) approached me and asked if I wanted to review any Korean skincare/makeup product on the blog.
Out of all the Korean products in my loong list, I opted for Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop and Missha Time Revolution Treatment Essence. These two products are very popular and I am very very curious about essence and products that comes with a dropper. Ang sosyal lang ng dating diba? I have been using these products for more than a month. Here is my review about them:
MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION THE FIRST TREATMENT ESSENCE
"The very FIRST step to your skin care regimen. Contains 80% Fermented Yeast Concentrate, which absorbs into skin instantly to energize your skin. Also contains Niacinamide, a Vitamin B3 component, to improve skin elasticity, enhance skin barrier function, and revive skin tone and texture. DN-Aid, made from Cassia-Alata Extract, provides vitality to aging skin, protects DNA from aging caused by UV rays, and promotes restoration of damaged DNA.
THE FIRST TREATMENT ESSENCE improves fine lines and skin tone. The miracle water hydrates, restores, rejuvenates, and gives you a glowing complexion. " - http://www.misshaus.com
There are two types of this Treatment Essence one is labeled as intensive and the other is intensive moist. This product is housed in a glass bottle with screw cap. Some say that this is a dupe for SKII facial treatment essence. I haven't tried that one so I have none to compare this with. This is actually my very first time to try an essence. This product feels like water when applied on the skin. It really feels light and is easily absorbed by my skin. It does not have any scent. Despite its utter plain appearance, I am quite amazed as to how this product can easily hydrate my skin. I use this every morning after double cleansing and applying my toner. There are times I skip my toner and use this instead. This Essence preps my skin really well. After giving birth, I noticed that my skin look drier and more mature.
I use this product by pouring a few drops on my palm and patting the product gently on my skin. Sometimes if I want my skin to be extra hydrated, I apply this product 2-3 times but I make sure that the first layer has been completely absorbed by my skin before proceeding with the second layer.
Overall, this is a great addition to my skincare regimen. I really feel that it helped in making my skin look supple and healthier than using my daily moisturizer alone. I also use this as a skin refreshener to keep my skin moisturized. This costs around 1000 pesos.

Way back in college or law school, I have tried using vitamin C from Godiva. (Can you remember this brand?) A lot of beauty enthusiast at a local makeup forum was raving about it. That product did not work for my dry skin. I was very curious about this Dear Klairs Vitamin C Drop as most bloggers rave that it brightens the skin and can lighten scars. I wanted to have a brighter complexion because right after giving birth, I noticed that my skin looked dull and it matured a lot. This Vitamin C Drop is slight heavier in texture than the Missha Treatment Essence. This feels light but at the same time has that oily texture when applied. This has a subtle tangy scent to it. It claims to have a non -active formula meaning it does not exfoliate and works well for sensitive skin as this is has a gentle and non -irritating formula. This did not irritate my skin. When I first applied it, there was no tingling sensation at all but I feel that it gradually warms up as I slowly massage it on my skin. After a few of using it directly on the skin, I discovered that it is best use when mix with my Etude House Collagen Emulsion. As mentioned in its label, mixing the vitamin c drop with lotion is perfect for those with sensitive skin. I have not seen any brightening effect of this product on my skin but I did notice my that my pores look smaller and an at times unnoticeable.
This costs around 1000 pesos as well.
I use the Missha Time Revolution Essence in the morning while the Dear Klairs Vitamin C Drop in the evening. Overall, I am really loving the Missha Time Revolution Essence. As with Dear Klairs Vitamin C Drop, I find it an okay product. I think I have to use it more often to see more results.
