My Lucid Intervals

I am presently an avid user of tinted moisturizer and/or tinted sunscreens. For the past months, I have tried Nivea UV Face BB and Belo Tinted Sunscreen. I find them perfect for everyday wear due to the no fuzz application process. Fingertips lang sapat na! When Anna Cay announced the release of this tinted sunscreen, I have no plans of purchasing it. I just got enticed when I watched her live video featuring this product. During the said live video, she talked about the 4 actives in this product - vitamin c, centella asiatica, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. I have bought skincare particularly toners and serums separately featuring these ingredients. Considering the fact that these four ingredients are bottled up in just one product, I could not help myself but give it a try.

I did not have any expectation when I received this product because all I wanted was an everyday base with spf. This has an SPF 50 PA ++. This product has titanium dioxide which is a known ingredient for physical sunscreen.

The packaging is very simple and the label is in a sticker form plastered around the plastic container. The packaging is also very basic and light. At first, I was worried about its weight but later on, I realized that this tinted sunscreen is perfect for travelling. I also noticed that this is exclusively distributed by the company, Venus and Mars Naturals Eco Beauty Corporation. I presume this is the same V&M Naturals. I remember back in the day, I used to buy pure emu oil from them. I wonder if V&M is also the manufacturer of this sunscreen.

Going back to the review, this has a pump dispenser. I also noticed that the amount of product that the pump dispenses can be controlled. This tinted sunscreen has three shades - light, medium, and dark. I got mine in Medium.

The texture of this product is a thick moussey cream. It blends really well on my skin and takes a while to dry and settle. It gives off a nice demi matte finish. Despite the demi matte finish, it does not highlight my dry patches and psoriasis flare ups. The color medium is a light beige shade with yellow undertones. It is a shade lighter than my NC 30 skin but it blends well with my skintone after setting it with powder foundation. The product has a light pleasant scent that does not trigger my rhinitis.

What I love about this product is the coverage! For a tinted sunscreen, it has a light to medium coverage and does a great job of evening my skin tone and it can also cover my redness and under eye circles.

For comparison, I swatched my everyday makeup bases. The Skin Saver's coverage is comparable to the It Cosmetics CC Cream but the skin saver is thicker in consistency and has a bit more coverage.

As can be seen on this photo, medium is lighter than my skintone but look how well it evened out my skin and covered some of my psoriasis and redness. Sadly, this has a white cast on flash photography.

In terms of application, I prefer applying it with my fingertips instead of a damp sponge. I tried using my damp skinfood wedge puff in applying and i was not able to blend it. The product did not adhere to my face, instead, it adhered to the puff.

If you are looking for an affordable tinted sunscreen then the 688 pesos price tag may seem pricey. Overall, I love this product. It did not irritate my skin and is perfect for everyday wear. I even thought of bringing this to my future trip as it is very lightweight. I also love mixing this with my It cosmetics CC cream to achieve my desired shade.

Will I repurchase? Yes!!

Okay, I can't seem to find the right words to start this blog post. Haha Hello na lang ulit at I'm back? :) During my blogging hiatus, I have tried a lot of new products which truly deserve a spot on my blog. I finally have the time to write about one of my most favorite makeup discovery (this 2019)! These are the 3CE multi pots. This product has been in the market for quite some time now but I can't help but join the raves about it online. I got six shades. I initially started with three (Primula, Holly Hock, and Common Time) and got three more (Scarlet Red, Diotima, and Cabbage Rose) because these cream blushes are really good. Worth the money talaga kahit nakakabutas ng bulsa! Haha

These cream blushes range for 945 pesos to 1200 pesos online. My first three purchases were from stylekorean where I got them for only 700 plus pesos (pero siyempre may shipping pa and all kaya mahal pa rin). The packaging of these cream blushes are really sturdy and posh. They are quite heavy which makes them have that luxurious feel. I have dropped them more than once but they did not budge at all. The shade range is also nice. All shades deliver differently on my cheeks. You know those tint or cream blushes that just look the same when applied even though they looked entirely different on the pan or tube. These blushes are not those kinds! Each color stays true to its shade as seen on the pan and swatches. This is marketed as a 3 in 1 product which you can use on your eyes, cheeks, and lips. True enough, you can use them on your eyes, cheeks, and lips but I prefer them on my cheeks. On the lips, they feel a bit drying and do not last long. The texture of these cream blushes are on the drier side, hence, it is a bit triclu to apply and blend. Honestly, I did not like these blushes on my first try. I applied them using my fingertips and it caused rashes on my cheeks. On my second try, primula looked patchy and uneven on my cheeks. Then, I found out the best way to apply these blushes!!Thanks to Anna Cay. Hihi I followed her suggested application which is with a wet sponge. I use my Skinfood wedge puff and I apply it after my foundation/base makeup, then set it with powder. This application process just makes the product lasts the whole day on my cheeks sans retouching. The shades that lasts the whole day on my cheeks are primula and scarlet red. As for other shades, they just lasted 6-7 hours on my dry skin.

These cream blushes are super pigmented. It will take me forever to finish this. I just need one to two dabs for both cheeks (with the use of wet sponge). The shades are vivid and rich.

Here are the shades with description:

Holly Hock: This is one of my favorite shades. I swear this shade makes me look fresh and younger. This is salmon pink with a slight hint of neon. This shade looks really good on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. In other words, winner to! Haha

Diotima: This is a muted peachy brown shade. I was really excited with this color but it looks really bland on my yellow skin tone. Also, this does not lasts long on my cheeks.

Cabbage Rose: This is a medium rosey shade with brown peach tones. This looks more of a warm coral rose on my cheeks. A lot of people love this shade but I find the shade a common blush color.

Scarlet Red: This is a deep tomato red. This look intimidating on the pan but gives off a beautiful natural red flush on the cheeks.

Common Time: This is my least favorite. This is a straight up orange shade. I wished I got the morninh skinny instead of this color.

Primula: This color is probably the most beautiful shade in this bunch. On the pan, it looks lik a deep magenta but when worn blended this is a berry pink. Ang ganda nito I swear. I can't believe that this will look good on my skintone.

Overall, I highly highly recommend this product to all my readers. If you are like who is always on the go, this product is suitable for you. I can go on the day without retouching my blush. I have tried this in different weather conditions and I swear the product just stayed put on my cheeks. Even though this is a bit pricey, it is worth every penny.

Hello!! This is not an April Fool's day post. Hehe How's everyone doing? I don't know if someone is still reading my blog but I just felt the urge to blog again. Years ago, blogging was my stress reliever but when I became a mom I just can't keep up. I can't seem to manage my time like when I was in law school. My schedule became even more hectic when I went back to work. Most of the time, I just want to rest, spend time with my son, and watch Kdrama!!! Watching Kdramas instead of watching beauty videos has actually saved me from impulse buying. Today, I will be reviewing a local brand collection that is very to my heart (dahil sa aking kdrama addiction) - BLK Cosmetics KBeauty Collection.

When I first saw the promotional video of Anne Curtis on Instagram, my beauty blogger x kdrama heart got so giddy! Hence, I decided to review their products. I was only planning on getting the All Over Color in Daffodil but I ended up adding the Sweet Lip Duo in Snowdrop and Intense Liquid Eyeshadow in Jasmine.

All Over Color in Daffodil

The All Over Color in Daffodil is multi-purpose product that can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. The doe foot applicator is large compared to the other local counterparts. This is one of the selling points of this product because BLK claims that application will be easier with its huge applicator. I beg to disagree with this one. Due to the pigmentation and consistency of the product, application can get really tricky. Instead of directly patting the doe foot applicator on my cheeks or lips, I just pat or dab my finger on the doe foot applicator to get my desired amount of product and apply/blend the product with the use of my fingers. On the cheeks, the product looked patchy when applied on top of powder and blending was harder. The best way to apply this on the cheeks is on top of liquid or cream foundation/base then sealing it off with powder to make the product last longer. The consistency and pigmentation are comparable to a runny liquid lipstick. The product is light and thin in texture but the pigmentation is really rich. The shade Daffodil is described by BLK as warm dusty pink but it looks like a warm coral peach with hints of brown on my cheeks and lips. My only gripe about this product is the staying power. I was very hopeful that it will last whole day on my cheeks but it only lasted on me for 2-3 hours.

Next product is an impulse purchase because nasalestalk ako ni ate. Hehe Kidding aside, I was really mesmerized with the shad eof the tinted lip balm. This Sweet Lip Duo costs 379 pesos and is surprisingly my favorite buy in this collection. The coconut lip scrub does a good job of sloughing away dead skin cells leaving my lips smooth and soft. The tinted lip balm is a moisturizing lipstick in a pot with a nude brown color. It gives my lips that healthy glow and looks perfect for that no makeup makeup look.

The tinted lip balm looks more nude and brown in person. My lips look extra nice on photos because of the lip scrub. It did a great job of smoothening out my lips.

Last product in this loot is the Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow in Jasmine. This costs 299 pesos. The shade Jasmine is metal/shimmery peachy pink. {EDIT} This liquid eyeshadow has creamy texture and takes a while to set. The pigmentation is great, however, application and blending is also very tricky. The first time I applied this on my lids, the product looked so patchy!!! I figured that the best way to apply the product is through patting motion first then blending the product afterwards. This lasted for hours on my lids even without a primer. My only concern about this product is it takes a lot of of layering and blending to get my desired opacity. I noticed that when swatched at the back of my hand the color is very rich and full but when applied on the lids, the color is not that rich in one swipe.It requires layering to make the color work on my lids. Other than that, I really like this product particularly the shade is very pretty.

2018 is a year dedicated to my first love - skincare. Yes, hindi po foundation ang first love ko. Haha Long before makeup, I was a skincare fanatic. I remember I spent a good amount of my allowance on facial wash, moisturizer, and sunblock. However, I never followed the cleanse, tone, moisturize routine because I purposely skip the toner part. I was never fond of toners. I tried a few toners years ago and I never liked them. I felt that the toning the skin is a superfluous routine. Instead of prepping my skin with toners, I bank on rich moisturizers but for years I exeperienced flaking and dry patches all over my face. I always thought using heavy duty moisturizers will fully hydrate my skin but it did not work out as I expected. In December 2017, I discovered the Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner (my first love) and it serves as a gateway for my love for toners. Then, I chanced upon Gothamista on Youtube. She feautured the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner as one of the best toners she have tried. This toner is developed and manufactured by Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic in South Korea that specializes in treating patients with sensitive skin. In fact, according to articles I found online, this clinic developed Pyunkang Yul skincare line to primarily cater those people suffering from atopic dermatitis.

When compared to the Dear Klairs Toner and Missha Time Revolution Essence, this toner is more runny and lightweight. This feels like water on my skin. This toner is made of 91. 3% milk vecht root extract. This toner does not contain unnecessary ingredients such as fragrance or dyes. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. My skin is combination dry and sensitive skin with psoriasis. I have psoriasis since I was in grade 5 and hydrating my skin is always a must. This toner is so lightweight that I find it perfect for the seven skin method. Once applied on the skin, I can instantly feel immediate hydration.

This removes the tight feeling on the skin after every wash. It also preps my skin very well for my next skin care routine. This made my moosturizer adhere better on my skin. I also noticed that the incorporating toners in my skincare routine made my skin more hydrated.

The Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner is so refreshing and has made my skin look more supple. I also experienced less skin irritations and rashes ever since I used this product. It also works on areas where I have psoriasis flare ups. Overall, I love this toner so much and it has got be my ultimaye skincare discovery for 2018!

I bought this product at Althea Korea for 540 pesos.

Hello!! Buhay pa ako! Haha Surprise post dahil natulog ang anak ko ng maaga! I miss blogging so much kung alam niyo lang. I really feel like I a different person for the past year because of my work. Okay, pipigilan kong magdwell diyan sa topic ng stress at buhay abogada. I know you are here because of skincare, makeup, or anything beauty related kaya skip na natin yan. :)

It has been three weeks since our 7 day vacation in Seoul. Yes! Bumalik ako with my son and hubby. Of course, I decided to reward myself for working so hard these past months. This haul is husband approved so hindi ako nakokonsensiya. hahaha I wanted to get more products talaga but he gave me a budget so I have to stick to that. Pero di ko kinaya (tao lang ako natutukso rin) dahil may pahabol haul ako from Althea and Style Korean. Haha

Here are the products that I got from Korea:

First are the products that I got from Innisfee. I got the newest Ginger Honey Ampoule because of Pony. I got it in a set with free 8 masks. This cost around 800 pesos. I also got the Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask in Blue which is the hydrating version. This was highly recommended by Gothamista (youtuber). This is around 300-450 pesos. I really love this mask. Compared to the original volcanic pore clay mask, this one did not make my skin feel tight. Instead, it made my skin look fresh, dewy, and hydrated. Next, is the Jeju Blackhead Out Balm. I bought this at Baviphat which is my favorite store in Ehwa. Baviphat carries different brands and products at super discounted prices. It seemed like a mini outlet store. Going back to the Blackhead out Balm, this does not work at all! Grabe! buti nalang 150 pesos lang siya.

This hair serum is really popular in Seoul. This is the Mise en Scene Hair Repair Serum. I was a bit skeptical buying this product because at the back of mind it is just an ordinary hair oil. At olive young, this retails for 11000 won and above or roughly 500-550 pesos but I got this at Baviphat for only 4000 won or around 200 pesos. Surprisingly, this is one my best buys in Korea. If there is one product in this haul that I would 100 percent recommend for everyone to try - this is it!!! My hair is really dry and most of the times, unmanageable! This serum tames my tresses so well. Ang galing. Every time I use this and blow dry my hair, my hair looks bagsak, soft, and healthy. I love this product and in case I ran out, I will definitely repurchase. Unlike the hair serums available locally, this is not greasy at all (one pump is enough).

Next on the list are The Saemmul Single Blushers. I got a bit crazy buying at the Saem and A'pieu because they are so affordable in Korea. Some items were even on sale kaya dun ako sa 2 store nagwaldas ng sobra. This blush comes in 24 shades but I was only able to snag two shades because the complete shade range was not available at the store near our hotel. I got the shades in RD04 and PP02. These are striking and bright colors.

PP02 is a deep mauvey pink but applies like a bright purplish pink on the cheeks. This interestingly looked great on my medium yellow skintone. RD04 is a bright tomato red orange which gives my cheeks a warm flush.

I just ran out of my favorite concealer, The Saem Concealer in 02. I bought two concealers because this is really cheap in Korea. The one I bought at Baviphat stores only costs 175 pesos while at the Saem store, one costs 250 pesos.

The following products are tints and liquid lipsticks! I went a bit crazy with tints because they were really affordable in Korea at ang gaganda ng shades dun!

My favorite store is probably A'pieu. Aside from the very affordable price range, they have lots of tints and lip products that are really nice. I got their lasting tint which is a milky gel tint. Both shades have a neon tinge to them.

PK04 and CRO1

These tints bleed and have a tendency to stain the teeth. Applying and spreading the product with the use of the fingers is highly recommended to achieve gradient lips.

I also bought these True Liquid Lips because of my fave youtuber,Lamuqe. She featured this months ago and I fell in love with the shades. I only got two because I find it pricey for 9000 won or 450 pesos. Sige na kuripot lang talaga ako! Hahaha

This liquid lipstick has a very opaque finish and applies mootly on the lips. I do not find it drying and it did not cause my lips any flaking. The longevity of this lipstick is A+! Sadly, the product changes color once applied on the lips. The shades appear brighter on the lips once applied. The shade Stay Rose (Left) look brownish red on me while the nude peachy brown in Some Almond (Right) dries down as coral on my lips.

The next tint is the Saem Mousse Camdy Tint in Chaitea. This tint is very comfortable to wear. Despite its velvety texture, this does not bleed easily and lasts for hours on my lips! The color opacity is also good and I can wear it alone without any lip liner. I wish I bought more shades! Sayang!

This next lip tint is from The Saem. (Ulit) This was on sale for 3600 won or 170 pesos. I was blown away with the color intensity of this gel tint. The color is red with pink tones. I love how it glides easily on my lips upon application leaving an even tint sans lipliner or lipbalm as base. It even covers my dark lip lines.

The only con with this shade is that this makes my teeth look a bit yellow.

These products are quite unnoticeable when you are inside the A'pieu store because they look like regular lip balms. These came in a twist up lipstick form which reminds me a lot of my favorite Kpalette Lip Balms. These are glossy lipsticks that feels buttery when worn. These makes my lips look moisturized and plump.

I really love the shades that I chose. CRO5, RD03, and RD04 which are perfect for everyday. These lip products last for hours on my lips.

I bought this on a whim because they were on sale for 10000 won a pop (500 php each). Again, I found these gems at Baviphat. This is a very watery tint. This dries easily too. I got the shade Pink Fig and Inside Mauve.

I am not blown away with these tints probably because with their price tag, I expected more! I was even comparing it with the Saem Real Gel Tint and honestly, I like the Saem's more.

I also bought this A'pieu Juicy Pang Blusher in BE01. I really find the color unique. The shade is a muted peach brown with micro shimmers. I need to apply 2-3 layers of this blush for the color to show on my medium yellow skintone. Sadly, this does not last long on my cheeks.

Here are my freebies. Love ako nung SA ng A'pieu near our hotel. She gave me a lot of freebies! I already used two facial cleansing wipes which are not inckuded in this photo.

I also bought JM solutions masks and Merbliss masks at Baviphat because they were on sale for 1000 won or around 50 pesos. The Merbliss masks have really rich milky essence. I love the JM Rice Mask as well.

This is an unexpected purchase. Dr. Jart Ceramidin is on my must-buy list but with its hefty price tag, I knew I will not be able to squeeze it within my budget. Luckily, Baviphat carried this product. I got this for only 24000 won which is a discounted price from its usual price of 48000 won! I have been using this moisturizer ever since I purchased it. I don't love it nor hate it. Ewan ko ba. Pag mahal talaga nag eexpect ako ng sobra! Haha

Got this for 100 pesos only and it is definitely one of my worst purchases in Korea. Like the Innisfree Blackhead out balm, sayang pera ko dito. I got this because I wanted replace my Pond's cold cream. Sadly, this stings my eyes so bad. I also feel that it does not remove makeup very well.

That's all for my haul. I know it is not much but for a mommy, sobra sobra na yan! I also made kbeauty purchases prior to my trip because I knew my husband will contest my purchases! Haha Advance ako mag - isip eh!! Hehe I bought additional products at Althea and Style Korea too. I hope I can share them with you. I really love the Mamonde Intense Creamy Lasting Ting Balm. Panalo yun!
