If there is one product that I truly fell in love with in 2020, this has got be "it". With a price tag that will not break the bank, this mini eyeshadow palette a foolproof product that I highly recommend to everyone. I initially got two shades Sneaky and Shy and got two more shades. The packaging is made of plastic and looks flimsy. I dropped my shadow palette in Shy and the shimmer shade got pulverized; so, I purchased a new pallete.

This palette is the shade Serene composed of pinks. The shimmer here has a nice pinkish peach hue. This contains a medium rose pink, light pinkish beige and a matte light peach.

This palette is the shade Sassy. It has nice light peach, a wearable warm red, light ivory matte, and a shimmery light pink.

Sneaky is a pretty everyday neutral with taupe, dark brown, and a medium brown. The shimmer shade here is a bronze color.

My favorite is the palette - Shy. This is a super pretty neutral palette. It has a nice light brown, a medium brown color, and a beautiful matte beige. The shimmer in this palette is super gorgeous. It was not captured on my photos but t is a champagne color with purplish pink glitter specks! If there is one shade that I recommend, buy this shade.

I love intensely pigmented shadows and these palettes are everything I hoped for. These palettes have buttery mattes and higly pigmented shimmers. The color selection is very pretty and are extremely wearable. These comes in six shades. I did not get the coral shades which consists mainly of peachy and orangey hues. These shadows are very blendable and applies best with the use of fingers. These blends so well on the lids even without a primer. These shadows are very long lasting and does not fade nor crease.

These do not have any fall out if applied with the use of fingers but when applied with the use of a brush, its a different story. When applied with a brush, the fall outs is quite terrible but for the price of 99 pesos, I can not complain. 😅

These sometimes go on sale for as low as 79 pesos!

For months, I have been searching for a transfer-proof lip product that I can use underneath a mask. After doing a bit of research, I bought the Peripera Ink the Tattoo. I got three shades King Pink, Enjoy Orange, and Sunny Red. I have high hopes on these tints and boy, they did not may fail my expectation. The Periper Ink The Tattoo are highly pigmented lip tints. These tints have a watery gel consistency and their pigmentation is one of the best I have tried. These have a subtle fruity scent. It applies evenly on the lips and does not settle on the lines and dry areas. These tints are truly budge proof. I have worn these on errands underneath a mask and it did not transfer at all. The color is really long lasting and the staining effect can last even after eating. What I really love about these tints is that they do not dry my lips! They feel moisturizing once applied and adheres comfortably on the lips. These tints can also be used as a lip base for lipsticks for a long lasting color. What I disliked about these tints? The shade range is very limited. This only comes in 5 colors

01 King Pink - bright fuschia pink

02 Infuse Coral - neon coral

03 Enjoy Orange - true orange

04 Sunny Red - reddish orange

05 Enriched Chili - brownish red

All these shades are bright except for the 05 Enriched which is a very warm brownish red. I really regret choosing 03 over 05. These shades are really bright esp. 01 and 03. The color sometimes look awkward on my yellow skintone; so, applying the right amount is key. These also remain true to color and do not change overtime. I have a bad experience with peripera tints before where they turn neon pink on my lips after hours of usage. I really hope they release more shades that are warmer. I am also checking their Ink Tattoo Stick which has more shades. Has anyone tried this?

I bought these on shoppee at singsing.ph store for 350 pesos each. What is your favorite lip tint?

This pandemic has changed our daily lives to a full 360 degrees turn. From the shift of our daily lifestyle to employment crisis to mental health issues, the list just goes on and on. And who would have thought that in such a long list of issues related to this pandemic is the newest skin care problem: maskne. It is acne developed through the usage of a mask over a long period of time. I could not believe that I am also experiencing acne breakouts at this age since the last time I experienced having pimples was more than two decades ago. It is not only the use of masks that has been causing our skin to break out. Acne is also directly related to our health. It is the physical manifestation of hormonal changes in our body. So what are the causes of acne during this pandemic?

1. Unhealthy lifestyle - Our once active lifestyle has turned us into homebodies for months due to quarantine restrictions. Suddenly, we had so much time in our hands that our daily habits changed. We now enjoy long hours of watching netflix at home, some even became chefs and bakers at home, and now most of us have a sedentary lifestyle because of work from home orders. Eating unhealthy food and lack of exercise are also causes of breakouts.

2. Stress - The thought of going out and catching the dreaded COVID disease has been causing us a lot of stress. Stress causes hormonal changes in our body which causes acne and it also affects our immune system.

3. Prolonged mask usage - They say that maskne is the new acne. Maskne is the result of clogged pores, Wearing a mask can trap humidity due to breathing and sweating plus the buildup of bacteria and oil can increase the chances of breaking out.

Despite seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the recent news of vaccination against COVID 19. Our lives will not change anytime soon. Hence, breaking out will still be our number one skin care concern for months.

So how do we address this acne problem? Of course, having a good skincare habit is on top of the list but as the saying goes, change comes from within. Diet change and shifting to a more active and healthier lifestyle will help clear our skin. Boosting our immune system is also the key. Aside from these time proven suggestions, taking anti-acne drugs can also help in achieving healthier skin. I am happy to share about a recent discovery - Lactezin by Unilab. After my obsession with cheek tints, I am now in the eye makeup phase. I bought a lot of eyeshadows and eyeliners. I figured that eye makeup is "in" or the trend since half of the face will be covered with mask until we dont know when. When Ever Bilena released these shadows sticks last 2019, I must admit that I was notimpressed. The colors were not my cup of tea except for the shade Bronze. Then, I saw a youtube video swatchinh these shadow sticks and I got really curious about the shade Copper. When Lazada went on sale, I purchased the whole set because the price was such a steal. I only paid 585 for the 4 shadow sticks with shipping. Each stick retail for 195 pesos if not on sale. The shadow stick weighs 0.5 grams.

This is the amount of product you get for each stick.

These shadow sticks come in 4 metallic hues:

Copper - a lustrous orangey brown with reddish gold specks

Bronze - shiny golden medium brown with golden specks

Black - grayish black with silver specks

Sapphire - intense cobalt blue

I take back what I previously said back in 2019. Haha The shades of these shadow sticks are super gorgeous even the shocking Sapphire color is something I am very tempted to wear not as an all over lid color but maybe as an eyeliner.

These shadow sticks have intense color opacity. They are very blendable and glide so smoothly on the lids without any tugging. The color is buildable and the intensity can also be diffused by blending. If you are new in the eyeshadow game, this stick is a no brainer. Just swipe it on your lids, blend with fingers, and you are good to go.

These are smudge proof and long lasting too. Once it sets, it does not budge at all. I wore thie shade Bronze on my trip to the hospital for a check up and it lasted for hours with out creasing. These also work nice even on top of powder.

What I love about these sticks is that they can also be used as an eyeshadow base. When used as a base, this stick makes eyeshadows pop and this creates a beautiful texture/gradient on the lid.

My swatches do not justify the metallic reflects of these sticks. I am in love!

Tried removing the shadows with a simple wet wipe and it was really hard to remove.

Overall, I highly recommend these sticks. If you are not fond of shocking colors, I suggest get Copper and Bronze. I hope Ever Bilena will release more shades like rose gold, rose, lilac, taupe, and champagne. Please Ever Bilena!!!! Hahaha

This preps the skin really well creating a soft and silky canvass for makeup application. I also notice that it blurs out the rough and dry areas of my face after every use. I will definitely reach for this mask on special occasions or on days when I need my skin to look photoready in an instant. This mask is highly recommended to all skin types.

H2OVERDOSE

This is an ultra-hydrating mask that is targeted for dry and dehydrated skin. The key ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid, Aquaxyl, and this also contains jojoba seed oil. If you have dry skin, skincare products with Hyaluronic Acid is your bestfriend. This ingredient hydrates the skin really well and also reduces the visibility of wrinkles.

This Mask claims to:

• Provides an instant and intense infusion of moisture for smoother, more supple skin.

• Delivers long-lasting hydration to soothe dry skin.

• Replenishes thirsty skin’s natural moisture barrier to prevent hydration loss.

My thoughts:

Wow!! This is the first word I uttered when I first tried this mask. This mask is truly heaven sent for those with super dry skin like me. I have tried tons of sheet masks and this is probably the most moisturizing I have ever tried. This has a milky essence that gives immediate hydration and plumpness. With the hyper infusion technology of the UFO, the essence truly penetrates deep into the layers of my skin. This even softened my psoriasis flare ups and reduced flaking and redness for days. I highly recommend this mask to those suffering from dry skin. I will definitely repurchase another box.

SHIMMER FREAK

This is a specialized mask targeted to address dark circles, eye puffiness, and dryness around the eye area. Its main ingredient is Caffeine that helps add radiance to tired looking eyes.

This mask claims to:

• Instantly refreshes tired eyes.

• Diminishes appearance of fine lines around the eyes.

• Brightens eye contour with a hint of shimmer.

My thoughts:

This mask was a bit hard to use. It is specifically made for the eye area. Since the UFO has a flat surface going around the undereyes can be challenging. I applied it on top of my lids while my eyes were closed but some essence got inside my eyes which stung a little bit. I did not notice that this somehow lessened the puffiness of my eyes after use.

YOUTH JUNKIE

This mask is suitable for dry and mature skin. Its main ingredients are collagen, vitamin E, shea butter, and jojoba oil. Its main skin benefit is for skin renewal. Collagen and Vitamin E is widely known for improving skin elasticity and helps in firming the skin. While Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter are ultra moisturizing ingredients.

This mask claims to:

• Reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for younger-looking skin

• Improves skin’s elasticity

• Helps restore skin’s youthful plump

My Thoughts:

I thought I hit the jackpot with H2Overdose Mask but turned out I am on a winning streak after using this Youth Junkie Mask. Same with the H2Overdose, this mask has a milky gel essence that is very moisturizing. The hydration potency is almost the same as the H2Overdose but this one dries faster and sinks on to my skin quicker. This gives instant radiance on my skin making my skin more youthful. This mask has a lot of essence in a pack just like the H2Overdose so I do not throw away the pack and keep it for 2-3 times use. I apply it directly on my face with my bare hands and the effect is just as good.

MATTE MANIAC

This is a Charcoal infused mask targeted for combination/oily skin. This aims to purify the skin and to keep oil at bay.

This Mask claims to:

• Mattifies and purifies for clean, healthy-looking skin

• Diminishes the appearance of imperfections

• Helps to support the skin’s natural oil balance

My thoughts:

I have dry skin so I decided to let my husband try out this mask. He has extremely oily skin with enlarged pores. It was his first time to use the UFO and he said he wants it for himself! Haha He said the device was very relaxing. The mask itself blurred out his pores and made his skin look healthy. He said it hydrated his skin and made it softer than usual. This mask is surely highly advisable to those with oily skin.

Look at the amount of essence inside the pack of Youth Junkie! I can use the excess essence for 2-3 succeeding routines.

Overall, I really love the Advanced Mask Collection of UFO by FOREO Sweden. Each mask is specially made for specific skincare concern and with the UFO and FOREOapp, the effect promised by each mask is easily noticeable even with the first use. Since, I have dry skin my top favorites are H2Overdose, Youth Junkie, and Glow Addict. H2Overdose and Youth Junkie have more essence compared to other masks, thus, the excess essence may be used 2- 3 times through manual application. I store the remaining mask essence inside the pack and keep it in the ref for that cooling effect. I also suggest to always wash your UFO with water and mild soap to remove the essence left after every use. This way, you are certain that the UFO will not be contaminated with germs or bacteria.

Today, I am featuring the K-PALETTE 1Day Tattoo Eyebrow Combo. For years, I have been an avid fan of Kpalette particularly their brow products. They recently sent me their Lasting 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil and Brow Mascara.

The Lasting 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil retails for 795 pesos and comes in 4 shades.

01 Light Brown
02 Natural Brown
03 Mocha Brown
04 Grayish Brown

Kpalette Ph sent me 03 and 04. 04 worked well for my dark black hair but I find it too harsh for an everyday look so I mix it with 03 to create a more natural and gradient look. This 3 way brow pencil is a perfect travel buddy and it creates natural everyday brows. It comes with a spoolie, brow pencil, and a brow powder. I find the brow pencil sturdy and does not break easily despite being slim. It draws nice thin strokes and the wax sets immediately too. After it sets, it becomes smudge proof. (Take note, I have dry skin) The color of the pencil is buildable too. I can create light feathery strokes and I can go all out with a heavy hand. I love how this pencil can fill in the gaps on my sparse brows and at the same time it can also define them. The powder side is okay. It just fills in the gaps with natural shading. Nothing too special about it.

Lasting Brow Mascara - This is newly reformulated and the comb is now cone shaped. This retails for 720 pesos per pc. And comes in three shades:

01 Light Brown
02 Mocha Brown
03 Grayish Brown

I was not excited about this brow mascara when I first got it. I really thought it will be the same as the old version but I was mistaken! If you have sparse brows and you want to achieve full feathery/bushy brows, this product is A MUST BUY! Yep, ganyan ko siya kagusto. All caps dapat para may emphasis! Hehe I have tried brow soap and other techniques to create that bushy brow look but to no avail. Until, I used this product. This magically turns my non - existent brows to fuller brows. I can literally live with this product to achieve that natural brows for an everyday look and ditch all my other brow products. This sets my brows in place, tints my brows so well, and can even fill the gaps of my brows. The cone brush really made the application easier and more precise. Best thing about it is that it is long lasting and smudge proof. I super duper love this brow mascara and I highly recommend it to all my readers.

Here is a step by step guide on how I created my full feathery brows:

1. Brush the brows with the spoolie from the 3 Way Lasting Pencil to clean the brows and remove foundation or powder.

2. Apply the brow powder from the 3 Way Lasting Pencil to lightly fill the sparse areas.

3. With a lighter color (02), brush the brows in place starting from the inner corner up to mid brows. With the darker shade (03), brush the brow tail

4. For a more defined look, used the Brow Pencil from the Lasting 3 Way Brow Pencil to create a more precise tail and brow shape.

What do you think of my brows? This bushy brow look made me look younger. Hehe

If by chance you have stumbled upon my blog - www.mylucidintervals.com, you would probably know that I love drugstore gems, cheap thrills, and lokal beauty finds. I have always been curious about the brand Squad Cosmetics. Squad Cosmetics offer a lot of affordable makeup products. I have always wanted to try their eyeshadow palettes and face palettes but I got really curious with their newest product - Happy Pot.

Each pot weighs 3 grams. The label shows its manufacturing date, expiry date, and ingredients. Notable ingredients are Dimethicone, Mineral Oil, and Kaolin Silica. This only costs 99 pesos which is really cheap! This multi-purpose pot comes in 8 shades. Despite having 8 shades, I find the color selection lacking variety. Most shades look almost the same having warm orange or brown tones. I hope they incorporated neutrals, plums, and even reds! The shades I got are the following:

♥️Cheerleader - my fave shade! This is a pretty warm coral peach
♥️College - terracotta shade
♥️Muse - muted medium rose eith slights hints of brown tones. This shade reminds me of 3ce Cabbage Rose but Cabbage Rose is warmer and deeper in color with hints of coral. This is another fave.
♥️Topnotch - is darker than College and when applied on the skin they look almost the same. I really thought this is a dark neutral brown shade.

College and Topnotch - no difference right?

Right off the bat, I would like to clear that this is not a dupe for the 3ce Take A Layer Multi Pot. The Multi Pot is drier in texture and extremely packed with pigments. The Happy Pots, on the other hand, are very creamy and pigmented too. It reminds of me of a creme satin lipstick on a pot! Once you dip your finger on the pot, you can instantly feel it melting and your finger sinks right on to the product. These pots are highly pigmented and leaves a slight tint once applied. It claims to be for multi use but I struggle using it on my lids. Take note that I have super dry skin and this creases badly on my lids after a few hours of application. On the cheeks, I love how it makes my dull skin look glowing. Due to the mineral oil, this gives a slight dewy finish. This feels like creme lipstick on the lips which may feel a bit heavy when worn underneath a mask.

I love using this pot on my cheeks. It gives my skin that instant glow!!!!!! I do notice that it works well undearneath a powder but the color intensity lessens when top off with powder foundation. So, I love using this on top of powder instead. To create an even application, apply it with a tapping motion. This lasts 4-5 hrs on my cheek with slight fading esp. when you wear a mask. This has a sweet vanilla scent.

Overall, this is a nice cheek cream. I highly recommend the shades Cheerleader and Muse. I want to try more products from Squad Cosmetics, what are your recos?
